Are people really this socially inept where adding 10 people to your guild is seen as a deathnell?
even tho i agree with you and personally think 10/25 mans should be flex raid choice for all the players⌠are you and your guild unaware that classic-wow is primarily all 40-man raid content? like was your guild and yourself just all going to quit once p4 lvl 60s came out?
Was hoping Blizzard would see people loved 10 man and would keep it, silly idea for me to have faith in Blizzard.
Didnât want to, but if they made it into 20-40 mans then probably yea.

i understand imo they really should give us flex raid for SoD. but thats wrong to assume they would convert all 40mans into 10/25 etc. but i definitely believe after 20man MC theyl likely make all 40mans 20 as well. 40mans would only be fun in ERA not SoD (imo).
I just donât see much of a reason to give the small guilds a chance of raiding without pugging then making us merge guilds. I hated trying to schedule 20 people together, and if 40 comes out I donât see SoD being too popular anymore.

ya but the thing is even tho im anti-40man raids, theyâre still original to classic 60/vanilla. so everyone whos against them shouldnât be suprised if we get them as its suppose to be 40man. the thing with SoD is if i had to guess is majority retail players which if they keep 40mans i see SoD truly dying after 20man MC.

then after you get that 20 you need to get another 20, as the whole point of making a guild is to do 40man raids at 60.
you only need 10 people for mechanics in 40man raids, 30 people to do their rotation in 40âs.
Pug to fill the slots, and recruit them into your guild with everyoneâs personality, they come naturally unless everyone in your guild is incredibly annoying.
The GM establishes the raid time that fits for them, you recruit people around that raid time.
If you cant handle that disband your guild or merge with another guild in the same situation.

Itâs all perspective. ZG and AQ20 were the casual easily puggable raids back when 40 was the norm. Now that weâre used to the ârealâ raids being 25m, we think 20 is too hard to manage.
20 is great. Plenty of room for redundant classes without missing out on critical raid buffs/debuffs. Enough people that Blizzard is allowed to assume you have at least one of every class, which opens up encounter design a lot. None of this âoops no decursesâ nonsense, for example.
Pretty safe to assume youâll have access to 3-4 âtanksâ and 5-6 âhealersâ between dual spec and runes. Heck, I remember struggling on an early ICC phase BQL 10 heroic because we literally didnât have someone who could swap in as a third healer.
20m is an excellent middle ground between overly simplified and utility-restricted 10m âcompsâ that usually have some major deficiency, and the overly redundant 40m raids that usually just end up being 15 plus 5x WF/melee groups.

Yes, and now the majority of peopleâs perspective is that 10man raiding is more enjoyable and easier to organize. Thereâs a reason itâs the defacto size in modern MMOs.

No, it isnât. And itâs not fun trying to achieve one either. Most people would rather play with 10 friends than be in a guild with a lot of people they donât or barely know.
