2 weeks to rejoin old covenant?

I would love that. Swap and forget is exactly what my suggestion would allow. Instead I have to weigh doing an even more annoying process in the event I decide I like my original covenant better for performance and fun. That’s the whole point I’m making. It’s a dumb system.

It doesn’t matter what the system is or how it works. You’re just going to do what the guides tell you to do for a .3% increase in DPS.

So meaningful choices don’t matter because you’re not making them, nor does having options matter since you’re going to shoehorn yourself into only one anyway.

Rock < Blizzard> Hard place

I mean, no. I clearly explained how I would use it. You’re talking to a stereotype not anything I said. I’m not saying their job is easy, but I offered clear options to (imo) fix it. You’re just complaining. At least contribute something. Not interested in getting in a pissing contest.

Just stick to one coven then op simple as that.

A whole 14 days is too long?:rofl:

You defected from the covenant. Then you return and you’re expecting them to be all…

ROFL three month necro and people are still trying to talk to the OP who hasn’t been here since March!

I’m posting to call you out for calling out people bumping a necro by bumping a necro.

That’s 3 layers of bumpception

Nope, speaking exactly to what you said

There’s nothing to fix. They don’t want you to swap covenants on a per minute basis. You can cheap it anyway and swap back in just a couple of days if you play it smart.

You then also go on to say:

You already have the ability to do so. You just don’t like how it’s set up.

I left mine and i was like…ooops now i want back

Yeah, you’re just dead set on disagreeing with me. The snippets you take out of context support the point you’re trying to make but what I’m actually saying is not what you think I’m saying. I’ll assume it’s my fault for not communicating properly for now.

If I was able to only play the covenant that was best for performance in important content aka progression and then freely swap because I would like to try something different in another form.

When I say “performance” I don’t just mean sims. Sims are great for theory but not very useful in application (as in how realistic it is to perform in such a way that the results are produceable). Something might sim higher but due to a players skill or various other factors the in game performance of a lower simming choice could be better.

That’s the kinda stuff I’d like to be able to freely play around with. I’ve decided the process to change back and forth covenants is not worth the potential fun/payoff/whatever you want to call it to justify switching back and forth to do that.

That’s the thing I have a problem with. I’m explaining why I have a problem with it and what I would do to fix it.

You are free to disagree with me but trying to say there is nothing to fix because blizzard doesn’t want it to be a certain way is just silly.

I’ve reiterated my point 3 times now and if you’re still unable to see past the “but muh sims” stereotype I don’t have much else to add. Cheers.

Yep, first hand experience with that one ignorant of the rules back then. Phew… it was okay… worst part was it dragged out SL longer in the final analysis.

Yeah, you left them to hang out with their friends and allies, HOW DARE YOU come back and want to hang out with them again…

Except you didn’t just hang out.

Point was, you didn’t go join their mortal enemies. You went and joined their allies and help their allies out for awhile. It makes no sense that they’d be so mad that you’d have to spend two weeks proving yourself to them again.

Why not? You were in and decided it was better elsewhere. Then come back like, “we’re cool yeah, right?” Who knows, you u may leave again. Besides, two weeks is nothing. Either suck it up or stay put.

Yeah there doesn’t seem to be much a rationale around the restriction other than Blizzard wants it that way. A week between covenants seems fine. Two weeks is just kind of unnecessary. Players should be encouraged to explore different covenants that have different soulbinds and legendaries and have an opportunity to play the different campaigns without being punished for it. This is also the case since soulbinds are continually changing in power with higher renown.

Going through it right now, hate necrolord vibe and miss night fae as im a druid, I don’t even want to play anymore while waiting the 2 weeks, what a trash time gating design.
