Yeah, I’m with you. All these people defending it saying “well then you shouldn’t switch back and forth” are deliberately missing the fact that it’s a broken, stupid system. Covenants are directly tied to player power, and you can switch your spec back and forth, so the current system discourages playing multiple specs. They literally put in a system that punishes the use of a fundamental part of the game and called it a “feature”.

you shouldn’t have to wait at all to switch if you want, they’re all on the same team anyway. Nor should you receive penalties such as low level followers or lack of rep level.

oh my god, the next day after I typed how time gating switching covenant was awful, they finally announce they pulled the ripcord and in 9.1.5 we can freely switch to any covenant with no restrictions anymore! FINALLY!
