Many people want to level dranei and blood elfs before the portal opens. You actually think casual people like me are gonna be able to level up to 58 before the portal opens? Also why such short notice? Literally telling us an expansion is coming out in less than a month before it releases?
I wanted to take some time off work to play TBC. There is no way I can get this time with this such short notice. This is seriously disheartening.
With the xp bar reduction it will be a lot faster.
it’s 30% faster I believe. But I only get to play about an hour a day. Hell I’m at work right now typing this. Even with the reduction I will be no where near 58 in 2 weeks.
That sucks, but it won’t be ruined for you if you go through the portal a bit late. Everything will still be there so don’t feel too bad.
I understand your frustration, but if you consider yourself a casual player… what’s the difference between a few extra days? Why do you need to be 60 right away?

That is where the fun is.
Because classic happens in one big wave in the beginning, same wit private servers. That wave tends to crash once content is being cleared on rotation reliably. If you miss that first wave, then you miss the actual ‘classic’ tbc experience. Remember, all of this has already happened before, so it will only feel new for a brief moment before that memory comes back and the (min-max) mentality takes over.
Technically, this isn’t the actual TBC experience since BE/Draenei weren’t even available to play until launch… OP wouldn’t be missing anything. In fact, they would be benefiting from the pre-patch in the case of nostalgic experience. I hear what you’re saying but a casual player isn’t missing anything if they play casually. Why are the last two weeks of Classic and the first two weeks of TBC launch the time to finally be competitive just to be casual again? Doesn’t really make sense.
No. they don’t expect you to get to 58 before the portal opens. They are giving you two weeks to get as far as you can. the two weeks are a bonus. don’t complain when they give you something just because you wanted more. Its like someone giving you a piece of candy and you are complaining that they didn’t give you the whole bag. pfff some ppl.

Let’s say you level up really fast so you take 4 days of /played to reach level 60. With 1h/per you’ll still need 96 days to reach level 60.
So, at some point we can’t wait everyone.
lol. i was thinking about this the other day. I think more horde will be rolling palidans than alliance will be rolling shamans. So yeah, im happy for anything that screws the horde.
Players created the misconception that they were going to give everyone time to get to 60 before launch. That was simply never the case. People connected those dots, despite being untrue. They only said they were giving you access to them early. This give you a chance to get to outlands ready level. Whether you have the time to do that is up to you. They are not going to create a pre patch length centered around casual play.
Blizzard can’t make a decision around people who only have an hour to play a day. It sounds like even with a few months you wouldn’t make it. TBH, if you only have an hour to play a day I am confused how you even really play the game. Do you just play the AH or something?
that’s not really the way I looked at this post. I just watched Asmongold video. He put out a ton of reasons why this seems pretty bad springing it upon us with less than a month notice. He had some reasonable points. It just seems very quick… like blizzard needed to get it out for internal reasons (money reasons)
Which is funny considering alliance will need more alliance than horde need paladins.
We need 3 maximum…you guys need 5 minimum per raid group

An hour a day isn’t getting you there in a month either. How long do the rest of us have to wait for you?
