These also are even the reasons why classic has been mishandled. Its mostly because blizzard does stuff like free server transfers over and over killing servers.

So two PVP related complaints that fail to address the biggest problem in PVP that being warriors make all other classes look like they are not contributing in a meaningful way. What you meant to say was.

  • Nerf warriors

That fixes most everything.

Finding it comical that its mostly alliance crying about their PVP advantage.

While I think that these preferences are reasonable to have as personal preferences, you could also have entitled the thread, “2 Ways to Break Classic” and it would have been equally accurate.

I could maybe imagine an event week where respecs were free for a week, or something along those lines. That would be fun, and maybe not really have long-term lasting effects on Classic. However, changes to the cost of respecs may… i.e. we would lose possibly the greatest gold sink in the game.

Premades vs premades is an interesting one. I feel like it’s a much more complicated issue that people make it out to be. What are we really asking for with this… is it “I just want to enjoy BGs?” Because if so, then just enjoy them.

If it’s “I want an _easier path to honor, ranks and gear,” then… perhaps it’s worth stating it that way.

Event week could work. As far as gold being an issue, people are running out of things to spend it on and the richest just use it for deathrolls/gambling. As far as the premade situation, its mostly about creating fairness. Premades come with group make ups, voice comms and much coordination. A usually has no chance against such a setup. It’s only fitting from a competitive side that you face off against opponents of such a make up.

No and no and no.

Some of us didn’t get to experience Vanilla, and this is the closest we will get.

Yeah. They solved this in retail with rated and non rated, both reward gear and honor, but different levels…

I don’t see a very easy sort of, everyone could agree type solution for Classic, and I suspect that no matter what we think through there could still be some potential side effects that we overlook…

With the current system, it is possible (theoretically) for someone to solo queue and have equal access to the highest ranks and gear.

This wouldn’t be possible in Retail.

I’m not suggesting that it’s realistic that someone solo queues and achieves rank 14, btw.

If the queues were separated, i.e. premade groups vs non, then I imagine most rankers would go for solo queues, and likely try to coordinate with other rankers… who may happen to get into the same games. That is, if the reward system remained the same.

I don’t really see an obvious upside to something like this, frankly.

The most broken thing about classic right now is the ranking system. Start by replacing that completely, and then we can talk about other changes.

But lets be real, they’re not going to change a thing.
