So my account cause a silence ban and then a full ban (until August 8th). I could see the silence ban but I have reppealed the full ban.
Some man was threatening to find me and r@pe me in lfg and I lost my mind over it (I did report him in game). Maybe my language was a little disgusting, but we’re going to just gloss over the fact of the reason for the blow up? Was the silence ban not enough for just using bad language? This is supposed to feel like a safe community.
I won’t say I reacted politely, I didn’t. But let’s look at a little context here 
I’ve played this game almost every day for 6 years and I have seen people say the worst stuff, but always be around every day. This is the first time I can ever recall seeing or hearing r@pe mentioned and I get in trouble for reacting to that?
Just would be disappointed if that’s the case is all. And I’m not posting here to bash Blizzard just wondering if any other women have dealt with this I guess.
This isn’t the appropriate place for appeals so I’m going to keep this closed but I wanted to touch on a few things.
No, absolutely not, and if you reported the behavior of the other person that will be looked into and appropriate actions taken. However, that doesn’t excuse any language that you may have used.
There are two different penalties here.
The first was for earlier social behavior, which honestly, looking over the chat that was reported it is pretty bad. Language, name calling and other toxic behavior. If that continues and is reported, then I imagine the penalties will continue to get more severe.
The second, the suspension, does include the more recent “defense” you claim, but it isn’t the only chat that was reported and reviewed.
While neither penalty is exactly unjustified, it is odd that it wasn’t one or the other, or they were included into a single one. So I would appeal that, as it likely should be one or the other, not both. They can review the penalty and chat violations and see what might be done.
