Lol, not sure why people make such a big deal out of the few mounts, pets, toys and outfits that end up in the store but having it or not having it isn’t gonna affect you or your gameplay so it’s a nonissue.
Bobby needs new yatch upgrades…
Because I grew up where everything was earned in the game and not on a debit card. I remember doing the legendary achievements in halo 3 to get the coolest armor set. I remember grinding away at things to achieve said items. Now there is no grind outside of the debit card. Just sad to see cool things that are exclusively earned through a debit card. Like at this point whats the point of getting the mythic ahead of the curve mount or a rated pvp mount when you can get an equally cool mount with said cash?
Idk it just bothers me that video games are more of a cash grab than a actual sit down and play, then be rewarded. I dont care if people pay anymore, its the new norm and the old norm is gone. But I also don’t wanna see people complaining like “2 store mounts in 1 week” sorta deal. The people enjoy this kind of thing and blizzard is doubling down. “You reap what you sow”
And?? What is your point. Blizzard is currently pumping out metric tons of content every couple months (we are already hearing about 10.1.7 mere hours after 10.1.5 went live). It’s time to admit that whatever dark times people experienced (or thought they experienced) in the past is over. The game is providing so much bang for your buck, one couldn’t POSSIBLY hope to collect or do it all and still hold down a job. So if people want to get a nice mount in the store, who cares?? This would be an issue if it was taking away from content, but we are literally choking on content at the moment.
Kinda sick of store mounts. I’ll admit, they look cool but I really wish they’d put that much effort into the in-game mounts with cool specials and whatnot.
The problem is that none of the mounts added in this new content (which I agree they are nailing) are unique. They are all lame recolors/reskins of the same models weve been getting. The fish is completely new.
They need to at least put some more work into the in-game mounts.
Wowee, this would make so much more sense if i wasnt already paying for the game with real money.
And you think your $15 goes to paying some struggling artist to spend time in making new mounts???
This is how artists feed their families, lol.
what you said was you couldnt pay for it with tokens which was teh incorrect part , you can definately keep your sub valid with tokens.
Wowee, this would make so much more sense if i wasnt already paying for the game with real money
teh only thing your sub pays for is access to the servers , nothing more
Wow, a new record!
It will be so exciting when they add 5 mounts at once and then have a package deal.
Yup. Sub fees should of gone up to account for inflation. $15 in 2003 is about $23 in 2022. I’m more than happy for wow tokens and shop cosmetics to be released if it keeps the sub price $15.
But thanks for lying and trying to make me out to be some kind of villain.
I don’t think you’re “some kind of villain”, I just don’t understand why people that are against the shop always has a bunch of shop items. I see CE mounts, a Blizzcon mount and some stand alone store mounts.
So why say “you just have to live with it” when you’re actively participating in it? Does not make sense.
I thought you were cool, logical, and understanding but i guess not.
Well I don’t know who you are ![]()
I’m more than happy for wow tokens and shop cosmetics to be released if it keeps the sub price $15.
Expansions pay for the game at Blizzard. Sub fees pay for yachts.
The expansion alone gets Blizzard like $100 million a year, not including deluxe editions or subs or paid transactions or cash shop items or anything else.
at least no pressure of missing out
try telling that to the “FOMO IZ REAL” folks ![]()
You see what Diablo IV is going through?
This is merely the tip of the iceberg.
lmao.
classic side he went full bore loot ninjya so less rush to join when he playes too I am told. Dude was pulling HR on…gets in gul’dan mode…Everything.
Collectors edition is not the same as cash shop items, for not only are they a better deal but its like a boon of you’re really wanting the expansion and to support the devs with the launch cause launch sales are super important.
I’m against shop items cause i was raised with Nintendo 64, And PS1 games that never had these things. On top of that we’re already paying $15 every month which yes i know gaurntee’s our patch content cycles. But it just feels scummy especially if you’re in a low wage job and every purchase (not in collectors edition) seems like a confimration that blizzard should continue doing this and it feeds into this vicious cycle. There are 2 games i’ve ever just dumped a ton of money into microtransactions in just wanting the things and just really hoping the devs will know that i loved the game and to keep supporting it. Heroes of the Storm and Planetside 2.
Kinda of regret the PS2 heavily i was pretty stupid. But it really hurts to know that the cash shop wasn’t enough, it had to be a etournament sports game to bring in even more cash. So the whole “support the devs by using cash shop items” isn’t real not at least with my experience in hots. And I spent over $2,000 in its lifetime and… kinda of regret looking back since its a dead game.
Also i see a lot of your posts as i lurk amongst the forums hence my comment. Then I feel attacked here. My statement initially was a “you reap what you sow”, if people indulge in the cash shop, expect Blizzard to focus on the cash shop.
