The thing is, all they did was take a model they already have and tweak it a bit.
I can fully understand and respect Shop mounts that are entirely unique like the Sunwarmed Furline and Heart of the Aspects, I’ve bought a couple mounts on the shop like this, but if an artist charged you $25 for an artpiece of your character but you decided you also wanted to own a recolor of it, would that not feel sleazy to you if they charged you the same price of $25 for a minor recolor?
If you’re argument is that “It’s not about the mount, it’s what I want to give to the devs” then I’m sure they would gladly take your donations without your purchase of anything, since you don’t seem to care about the quality of what you’re getting in return. I’m not trying to mean any offense to you or start an argument, I’m just a bit baffled at the whole perspective of this.
partly incorrect - buy a six or twelve month sub once - keep topping it up with tokens for ever , it never runs out and you will get every sub based mount they release

buy token with in game gold off of AH - convertto B net balance . Everything on teh shop is available from in game activities

if 1.5m subs, the entire year blizz makes like 250 million a year. if you add a median 60 dollars expansion every 2 years thats an additional 180 million , like 500m if we get 3 more expacs. and im basing that off 3m people would buy the expansion.
