2 Null Stones For Weekly Mining Quest? Seriously?

Those are going for 4k on the AH atm and I have used most of mine for crafting.

Oh, and I do have more than one miner. Just saying…

Completely absurd. I will not be doing this quest.

3 knowledge points locked behind an insane paywall of OVER EIGHT THOUSAND GOLD@!

Yeah j/k I already did this quest 4 times. I’d do it again if i had to.

Congratulations! I am happy for you. Sadly I don’t want to spend 4000g per stone for my 6 miners.

Consider that my 3 LW only had to spend 150g per Thunderous Hide.

Why don’t you like… idk… go out and mine for null stones?

I went to go pick up the weekly and nope’d the hell outta there so fast, lol.

Sadly after having multiple blacksmithing patron orders that cost 30-55k in mats for 2 points, 10k for 3 points sounds almost reasonable.

this is absolutely stupid Blizzard. who thought this was a good idea? Null stones are 6k each. you want to charge me 12k PER CHARACTER plus the bismuth for 3 KP?

Because they don’t work that way? Or at least not at a “got a life” pace. Oh, and not surprisingly, the price of said stones is now double, at 8000g each.

Leatherworkers just need to cough up like 300g total for the 2 hides they need.

I’d encourage you to look up what an “opportunity cost” is.

Exactly. But like so much, we all have different metrics.

Not to mention you have to be specced a certain way to even get null stones to drop. Otherwise, you need 10 imperfects. I don’t usually even get 10 imperfects a week.

I couldn’t agree more. First they nerf how many you get from the wax turn in, and now they add this to the weekly. Whatever intern came up with this idea should be fired.

Submitted Feedback in-game through the support menu. But echoing the sentiment here.

I think 2 Imperfect Null Stones is reasonable. But two full stones seems egregious in opportunity cost. Not just in raw gold, but patron orders getting absurd requirements as well.

they are just blatantly telling us to go buy tokens at this point…SUCH a bad quest. 1 null stone would be bad. This? OMG blizz stop it. Hire QA people who actually play the game.

Completely agree this is absurd for a weekly profession quest. Blizzard needs to up the drop rate for Imperfect Null Stones used to make Null Stones or remove their requirement from weekly quests.

“Go out and mine them yourself” isn’t a worthwhile endeavor with the simply awful drop rate these have, which again, is why they’re commanding 8,250 gold on the AH right now (was 4K to 5K before this weekly quest demand spike, which is still too high)…

I guess this really is devs that design quests who also “don’t play the game.” -_-

Certainly will be skipping this as 16K gold for 3 mining spec points isn’t worth it to me.

I love so much about TWW, but we totally took a step backwards in all crafting, gathering, and secondaries.

My three miners are likely all noping out of this, as much as it hurts to miss out on any profession knowledge. The acquisition of Null Stones is just too unpredictable, and the prices make it more profitable to sell them to other suckers instead.

If you don’t get 10 imperfects in a week then do you really need those 3 KP, you aint mining anyway.

This single quest has caused such a market upturn at the moment, EVERYTHING is costing more now.

Nullstones were like 5k this morning, now going for about 8k
Sanctified alloy was 5k for a 3 star, and now over 6k for a 3 star.
