you aint mining at all if youre counting null stones by imperfects
This is absolutely disgusting…2 null stones for 3 knowledge. Who is designing these quests and who is approving this? Get bent!
my thoughts exactly.
Ayup. Gonna be skipping that one. My jewelcrafter has 3 right now, they’re not getting 2 from me
Looks like bait to me.
Two imperfects is still and issue as at a certain point you will no longer be able to gather them
hadnt considered this. null stones have effectively doubled in price since this quest went live yesterday. but it isnt merely null stones affected. they are used in tons of crafting recipes across all aspects of the game.
this stupid, poorly-thought-out quest is affecting a broad swath of the economy.
The quest is a scam, I encourage everyone to not do it. 3 KP is not enough to justify.
I’ve been staring at the AH watching Null Stone price skyrocket. If I wasn’t okay with giving up 2 Null Stones before, I definitely don’t want to now.
I’m gonna hold out and hope Blizz hotfixes it.
Honestly, Blacksmiths are eating good on patron orders overall. I have every prof except lw and engi, and blacksmith has had BY FAR the easiest patron orders - sure there’s the occasional stupid one, but every day I get at least 3 I can do cheap, sometimes 4-5. Try jewelcrafting if you want ridiculous patron orders lol
I am guessing by all the low level recipes that need null stones these thing were supposed to be more plentiful then they are. Blacksmithing needs them to make grinding stones, like why?
i doubt they will hotfix it at this point, unfortunately. many people have already bitten the bullet and just did the quest.
of course, they could simply mail the people who are flagged has having completed the weekly, two null stones. but doing so will crash the price back down, and those people will likely not recoup the same value.
most likely, they will just let it go for the week. then if we’re lucky they’ll remove it for the future.
Man I wish I had your luck on patron orders. I have blacksmithing, and the only orders I have are for PVP items, with the recipes costing 8k each or items for epic level gear where I have to provide the majority of the mats. I currently have one order that gives 1 BS knowledge point and the mats are over 40k gold. The crafting system now is worse then it’s been in years. I’m still playing BS orders through my alts to get the quest done as it’s way cheaper.
Yeah stop pretending like that isn’t because you ALREADY FULFILLED the orders for core alloy that rewarded knowledge. I have multiple blacksmiths, only the difficult recipes remain because you fulfilled the easy ones.
Ya like every day I get at least 3-4 that are for like core alloy or those framework things or 2-3 quality dredger’s pieces or whatever they’re called. Just checked today’s: 6 new orders, 3 easily doable including one where all mats were provided, 2 not worth it, and 1 that I’m considering because of the reward.
Blacksmith is by far the easiest for work orders. The only other one that I’ve seen that comes anywhere close is inscription which gives a lot of those treatises.
I would argue engineering is the easiest but you gotta play the dice game for it.
There are times i get engineering crafts that are like. Oh make a cog wheel, or make an entropy enhancer, which is all just common raw materials.
But on the flip side they will give us things like Oh make a worm hole generator, or make this thing that takes 4 chaos circuits which is 4 nullstones.
You’ve hit the nail on the head. Professions are ‘pay to win’. After the profession shuffle and some folks maxxing kp’s already it really doesn’t matter if your intention was to make gold. By the time you catch up the stuff won’t sell.
I only do professions for myself as a solo player. So if it takes months /shrug. For folks that were trying to prepare ahead of time I found it suspicious that most of the stuff erased from guild banks was those able to be used to get ahead.
I’ve made a fortune this week off of lazy miners selling them null stones. 70k an hour farming is closer to 100k this week.
How is it Blizzard’s fault that you have six miners? and simply aren’t good with economics?
Well on a positive note, I bought 25 Null Stones for 4800g each, and then sold them 4 hours later for 9500 gold each.
