But I didn’t keep playing the same games. What games are you talking about? Fortnight and pubg and such right? Or mobas(which are also old now)? I think it’s fairly common to start off playing simple fps games and switching to more challenging/complex games that rely less on pure reaction time as you get older.

If a new game comes out to replace wow i’ll probably be playing it too. And there have been games to come and go. But the game is already fairly casual friendly. I can max out a new char in literally a weekend for pvp. There’s no chores or anything to keep up with and seasons last a long time. Which is good because I didn’t play bfa or shadowlands because of the insane time gates.

Yes in a way you are right. There is a bit of competency crisis among generation ipad/iphone. I think suggesting that the next generation stays perpetual toddlers only playing madden current year + 1 and current year shooting game for the rest of their life is a bit pessimistic though. I don’t really care if it’s WOW or another game. I had fun on smite for a little while. But wow survived thus far while others have not.

Yes you did. You’re here, playing WoW; the same game from the same genre you’ve been playing for two decades.

Other. People. Aren’t. You. Your path through life is not just how life goes. You’re rationalizing the things you did as if there was a reason for them rather than you just engaging with the part of the zeitgeist you enjoyed from your own teenagehood and young adulthood.

You’re utterly incorrect, and again are using your specific perspective as a basis for what is true, when that is not how it works. WoW is casual friendly relative to what it has been in the past and to someone who has a terabyte of data regarding the game hardcoded into their brain from two decades of playing it on and off. It is not casual friendly in an absolute sense.

But why do you keep trying to bring this up? This is irrelevant to the discussion we’ve been having. Is your mind so scattered and slow that you can’t keep reality in order to any extent?

Not “in a way”. I’m just correct, and your ability to reason is hazy and muddied.

The level of irony in this statement is immense. There is no competency crisis. RPGs aren’t some superior or more mature genre. The majority of these kids that you think suffer from competency issues are much smarter and more capable than you are, because you are a narcissistic moron.

Very bizarre and aggressive take at my intelligence but okay. You are talking out of both sides of your mouth. First the game is overly complicated and a big barrier to entry, then on the other hand actually it’s very simple they just don’t want to bother with it. Classic wow proves you wrong in both ways because it’s both extremely easy yet extremely time consuming and is somehow still popular after several resets.

So you are just saying the game is fundamentally bad, despite paying a sub and posting on the forums. Cool story bro.

So your reading comprehension is actually zero or you’re trolling.

You literally have no point in any of your posts. If my responses seem like non-answers it’s because you don’t actually have an argument for anything except this game sucks and to insult people. Your first post is trying to call me both privileged and uneducated at the same time. You literally picked apart my sentences line by line to hyper scrutinize my OPINION and a VERY SMALL part of my life experience. Okay bro. Got it. You can stop posting now.

Never said or implied this one time.

Nope. Quote my first post and specify where either of these things happened.

I now think you are an uneducated, babbling idiot, but that is something that you did by embodying those qualities repeatedly.

understanding the internet? knowing what twitch is? being able to see the top 20 games people are playing online and deciding what to play? you are either implying I’m too dumb to have any introspective at all or I’m privileged to understand computers and be able to play a complicated game (in comparison to the top games on twitch that are all flavor of the year fps games).

I don’t know what your point is because you say that wow is both complicated, but the new generation are giga genuises compared to me so wow should be easy for them. I don’t know what you want.

again calling me delusional just because I think retail is more casual friendly now and attacking me. Unreal.

Attacking me personally and throwing out insults again when I’m literally agreeing with you, just not completely.

You again insult me for an entire paragraph just because I stated an objective FACT that gen z is less proficient with computers.

I haven’t read any of the rest of this argument but I don’t think this is an objective fact no

Yeah we’re going to stay on topic for once.

Show me where I said the game sucks.

Show me where in my first post I called you privileged and uneducated. I would look up the word “first” before doing this.

This is actually true from what I understand. Millennials know computers like our parents knew cars, and similarly (compared to the evolution of cars) the user friendly nature of all the various devices over the last 10 years has led to newer generations not having the same understanding of how computers actually work, on average. Growing up we assumed that general technological literacy would improve forever, but it seems my generation is going to be tech support for everyone until we die.

However, that is not at all what the paladin said in his wildly disrespectful and bafflingly stupid paragraph that I responded to. He’s misrepresenting it entirely in his description of it.
