Fel scarred is super solid imo. More dam on your dam every dam. Aldrachi is garbage, though. Double glimpse is nuts, but not worth the ramp and tempo loss required.
If you feel this way then you haven’t played an actual squishy class.
It could also be that you’re fighting jungle, but EVERYTHING feels that way into jungle.
Glimpse cc immunity and meta immune are intended. Afaik there are no other “random” issues and they’re certainly not unintended.
If a DH doesn’t want to die they wont die. Between blur, nether, fly, and extreme mobility, they realistically won’t die unless you’ve got a rogue to lock them down.
This feels like more of the issue. It’s definitely not unplayable - especially at low ratings, but it struggles for sure relative to overtuned specs.
No melee in the history of the game has ever been unplayable on low ratings
Low ratings are not related to what class balance should be simply because they do not outline the potential of any spec in any way. A regular to good Mage will be absolutely immortal to every melee but a completely new Mage might die to a warrior within 10 seconds - that does not mean mage should get any kind of further assistance against that when the player itself doesn’t know how to pilot their own class
So all these stories about getting 1600 successfully don’t mean anything. You can do that on any class regardless of meta or anything.
What does matter is a spec’s potential to reach the highest ratings if the player is good enough. This is where class balance starts to fail us and where outliers like BM hunters show up, gatekeeping many other specs for example.
Havoc is supposed to do big damage simply because the way it functions with timed damage means the opponents can either react and deny the damage, or not react and die. This is how it should be. The spec is built around punishing mistakes, which is in itself how the game should be. And when it has no damage to do this (like now), it becomes obsolete and useless.
I have now 5 80s, 3 are fully geared and my DH and hunter are around half.
The DH flops over so easily its very depressing. The lack of healing, real healing and the entire spec just feels weird.
Its niche used to be its leech heals and as long as you were aggressive you could stay afloat. Now you have every melee in the game with real healing, consistent, and DH just…doesnt do anything. It has no purpose. What does it do well?
Its true though. Between lock, hunter, evoker and mage, DH feels like a relic. Needs a complete rework
Yeah with their goku level mobility and entirely instant, ranged cc kit I too think DH should do infinity damage. Also it should have boosted defensive. Epitome of a fun experience for everyone involved
Is DH mobility at this stage of the game really any different to warrior, feral, WW, rogue, even survival…? The whole crazy mobility statement doesnt hold true anymore compared to every other melee.
Ret has a 30 yard range on a huge amount of their abilities and cant realistically be kited anymore between horse, freedom and bubble.
What does DH have, par for par, thats so unique? 2 fel rushes, vengeful retreat and felblade.

Shadowstep, 2 charges of it; vanish on a low cd, 15+ yard range on melee abilities because of acrobatic strikes unless they removed this.

WW fsk, 2x roll, tigers lust, teleport, and now can clash targets as WW iirc
Dk ams, deaths advance with a sprint + passive, 2x grip, abom limb.
Where is this goku like mobility that it means anything?
