Absolutely true I hardly want to tank for pugs now, and now I will never have to. Thank you blizzard.
Bruh, did you look at how long it took to complete?
You do know some people run some things out of a pure challenge, right?
SMH
Yes - Well - considering I played WotLK with RDF and ran a LOT of dungeons with it as a DPS, I can say you are wrong. I can also say that this may sound super cool to run heroics with a tank and a healer, but I think youâre very over inflating this. Heroic 5 mans are not end game content, they are a stepping stone into 10 man raiding gear, which is a stepping stone into 25m raiding gear. If you want to spend 2 hours to clear a 5 man with nothing but a healer, go for it, itâll get old really fast. Hell, even in the video he laments how long it is going to kill a mob because it is a caster. Iâve never heard anyone complaining about that with 3 DPS.
I dont remember that in the wrath version believe that was cata or mop. Gearscore was around in wrath.
The lack of rdf is not gatekeeping you from this content.
If you feel gatekept, its likely from something you are doing, or lack there of.
Looks like a bunch of people scared of halls of reflection getting buffed.
I was duoing dungeons in vanilla classic for gear and nobody had a problem with it. Whats the difference for wotlk?
Literally false. The only reason people would do this is for the flex. But taking 3 dps for faster clearing will always outweigh any potential positives of duoing it.
None. They just donât like people doing things they themselves are not skilled enough to do. And they think itâs more impactful than it actually is.
Itâs not good for the game, itâs great for the game.
There will be much more people running heroics throughout the game when compared to tbc and the easy difficulty is the main factor.
These dungeons and heroics are designed to be easy, it is an intended design choice.
Hahaha, I see some folks who werenât around for WOTLK (or forgot) that heroics in WOTLK were nothing like TBC Heroics. Heroic dungeons in WOTLK were stepping stones into raids and have been since WOTLK.
They did turn the dial back to 11 at the beginning of Cata but quickly adjusted after, wait for itâŚfeedback from the players.
Yaâll are gonna be in for surprise when we get to the point where we are 2 healing 10-man raids.
EDIT: Okay I am being reminded apparently we were mostly 2 man healing 10s to begin with, bad example. I just remember healing with full ICC gear being stupid powerful.
hardly
TBC heroics were useful for a longer period because you needed them for attunements, once they removed every attunements people dropped heroics like a stone.
People will drop heroics in wrath by p2
Not a chance. With them upgrading the badges every phase, heroics will remain an option.
How many healers do you typically bring for a 10man? I donât ever remember needing more than 2 in WotLK
I am confused. Do people 3 heal 10 man raids? 2 heal is the norm no
Okay, now Iâm laughing again because youâre absolutely right. Being forced to acknowledge your perceived superiority being taken away from you canât be fun for these folks.
Dungeon finderâs emblems made dungeons relevant to the end is the expansion. Full tier 9 just from doing dungeons was amazing for casuals.
Some Ulduar fights might need three in 10man prior to raid groups getting more gear from that raid. I personally donât remember many 10mans i did with 3 healers outside of ulduar tho
Emblems are still upgrading in classic.
In phase 2 the daily heroic will give conquest badges and heroics will drop valor.
Heroics were more alternative progression for casuals/non-raiders than anything else back in the day, since a sizeable chunk of the WoW player-base back then did not raid. These days they will undoubtedly be a complete faceroll, even more so than back then, & pretty much everyone could skip dungeons (especially Heroics) entirely & go straight to 10 person raids if they wanted to. Same is true with TBC & people jumping right into Kara & ignoring Heroics.
