1v1 isn’t a great way to practice anyway. There are target dummys for learning your rotations.
If you want to learn a map most of them have real world counterparts you can visit.
1v1 isn’t really something I feel should be implemented. It’s not even close to balanced.
Some classes are just not good alone. (Warriors are top dogs in 2v2/3v3 but can’t really defeat any class 1v1)
Hybrids would dominate 1v1 skirms, and so that’s all you’d see in there. You wouldn’t get any practice that’s meaningful from 1v1 skirms.

I’m sorry, I assume you wanted practice so you can get experience for 2v2 or 3v3.
Those are GROUP events. So, going solo doesn’t really teach you how to play on a team.
I’m not saying you don’t get some experience from 1v1’s. But because it’s not balanced, its more about your class and their class than pure skill or talent.
The issue is, Blizzard won’t implement 1v1 precisely because classes arn’t balanced around 1v1.
I’d have a great time with it on my Ret Paladin. I duel in front of Ogrimmar all the time and it’s fun. But experience for the Arena’s, it’s not.

I didn’t say you were asking for ranked 1v1, however blizzard still won’t implement it because it makes no sense to. I’ve explained why, you don’t like the answer I gave. I get it.

I agree with op, 1v1 skirmish would be great to learn other classes cds and learning arena in a 1v1 environment. Some classes suck in an open area with no Los. Dueling in a proper arena setting is ideal.

I don’t want to lose to rogues, mages, prot paladins, and other hybrids that can just self heal to full hp. I’d be okay with it if it only gave no rewards and was only for practice though.
Seems like you are simply telling him what is and should be versus having a productive discussion with a stranger 
A few others seem to agree that it would be fun/worthwhile though even in this young thread.
Having said that the thing I do agree is that it would be filled up with those bully ret paladins attempting showcase their greatness

duels dont help u get better lol. You could play against a rogue as a monk or demon hunter and lose instantly, there is no other way around it.

Duels are literally how a lot of r1s practiced their class lol. Venruki is one that I can think of off the top of my head. He literally dueled all the time back in BC I think it was, learning the ins and outs of mage, took what he learned from duels and went forward with it. Duels are definitely a great way to learn your class as well as others.

I don’t see how learning what other classes do/ can do in an arena environment isn’t valued experience in preparation for 2v2 and 3v3 arena. I guess we can just agree to disagree but if this was part of the game I would enjoy it and my class loses to a lot of other classes in a 1v1.
most r1s practice for 2s or 3s… by doing 2s or 3s. Duels are literally pointless, why duel a rogue with the same gear as you. You can put chunli vs a duelist rogue and the rogue would easily beat chunli. This is Sl also. it is completely different from bc, skill doesnt exist anymore my guy

They should have a 1v1 ranked mode, let warriors stay in 2/3s and give other classes a different bracket to dominate. Game should be balanced around individual classes not comps
