So during the phase where the goblin jumps on the boxes and you gotta run the big guy into the boxes to knock him off… is there a legit way to NOT get ran over by the big guy?
I tried waiting for the arrow to lock, but it never seems too. It makes me not want to Tank GD in higher keys if that guy can 1 shot my ilvl 280 tank on a +4.

Nope, and as a tank that’s really the only time outside of the group killing the goblin too early where you will need a defensive as a tank.
I’m fairly certain that doesn’t 1 shot. You had to have been hit by something else, had very low health, or you didn’t have active mitigation up.

I haven’t tanked it on my 279 Paladin but I have on my BDK and my Guardian druid who is just slightly above that, neither of which were ever hit for 84k on 16-18 keys unless I stood in something else in the meantime.
Is it possible that the group killed the goblin while on the boxes and the Brute enraged before he charged the boxes?

Yeah just open your eyes , you will see him coming and then move out of the way

Don’t go in to that ability low health…heale has to be ready for it.

The trick is to have the big guy already below the small guy.

I tank as a VDH, and I have yet to be hit from it (or take noticeable damage). How I do that (got the idea from another post) is you need to hug as tightly as possible to the boxes. That way the boss hits the boxes before you and cancels out taking zero damage. I’ve tanked a couple 14’s that way and it’s been real easy.

No he was on the boxes still, first charge. I wasn’t full health, but my wings where up as well as SotR. I was shocked.

Lmao what, the charge doesn’t do that much damage
13 tyrannical and it doesn’t even come close to 1 shot with no CDs, and blood takes way more physical damage than a paladin

I must be some kind of god then cuz I’ve never come close to being 1 shot by it while using no CDs
I wouldn’t be asking if there’s a way to avoid if it wasn’t absolutely crushing me.
I have tried the close to the box trick but it seemed hit or miss so I wasn’t sure it was a thing.

I have Grimrail and Upper Kara left for M+ that i havent done yet. I really hope its not as bad as the forums make it out to be (I am a druid tank)
Outside the first boss smashing my face, Grimrail isn’t bad at all.
Upper Kara is fun, it’s lower Kara that’s bugged and seems a bit overtuned.
Like my only guess at this point is you’re killing the goblin first so Borka gets the damage boost
