I try to be as respectful as possible. I may disagree with you but I don’t go out of my way to call you inappropriate names. I can’t recall a time I’ve called you names so please quote me if I did and I will do my best to not let it happen again.
Your argument is that it doesn’t save progress nor what you have accomplished. The point is that it actually does save what you have progressed and encountered. You also treat a boss as equivalent to a layer, when really it’s more equivalent to the floor. I’m not requesting any changes to the floors other than saving which floors you have accomplished. I’d even be fine with the removal of layers entirely and just make it all be floors, with it saving the floors you’ve completed, and you lose your progress when you lose all of your lives. That’s actually how something similar is done in another MMO, which you want to claim is absent from the genre.
And now you are adding time-outs into your argument. So fine, how about letting you save your floor progression, but it gets wiped out at each daily reset, to make it completely equivalent.
The bottom-line is that other pieces of content already do save your progress and it could very easily be implemented into Torghast.
Finally, this is the forums, if you can’t handle posting criticisms, then don’t visit the forums.
All this time in this thread, I’ve done 3 BGs and a Mythic+
I actually value how I spend my time, and doing boring tedious content isn’t on my list of priorities. I posted my criticisms, you just don’t seem able to handle them.
Every time you complete a floor, you get a reprieve of the bad things. If you note, when you go through the portal, you have a buff on you that suppresses all the torments (the Soulforge dot included) as well which allows ample time to do things like go to the bathroom, eat a pizza, get a drink, etc.
Though the 18-floor marathon is kind of an ordeal that I wouldn’t suggest starting unless you have the time. It’s kind of like a single-player raid that’d you’d have to set aside time for. I think I spent an entire day doing layers 3-8, wouldn’t advise doing it a second time like that.
If you could kindly let me know where I was disrespectful to you or called you names. I just want to have a discussion. We may disagree but I don’t think I’ve been disrespectful to you. If you feel I have please let me know how so or quote where you feel I’ve been disrespectful.
During Soulforges, with the fire debuff, at the start of the floor when you’re in the ‘shrouded’ zone, the damage doesn’t apply. It still does the damage attempts but it says ‘miss’ every time.
You can afk and not worry about dying due to the periodic damage.
There needs to be save checkpoints in tc so in case someone needs to leave for whatever reason they can come back later and pick up where they left off. Its already a long run as it is for each lair. It doesn’t need to be made any harder than it is. This isn’t dark souls/bloodborne, it will never be dark souls/bloodborne. Dark souls/bloodborne is actually challenging and worth the time invested. Tc is a battle of how long can you sit still or stay awake with rng anima powers that can make or break a run in 1 second.
Just did layer 1 with a buddy last night and it was extremely fun. I also noticed the mobs are dropping gold. Not sure if this is new, but it definitely covered repairs and then some. A step in the right direction.
