18 floors is too many

A gamer who enjoys a fun experience where you don’t notice the time ticking away.

It’s boring repetitive content where it’s basically the same thing, over and over, and over.

I can barely stomach it as six floors - 18? Forget that!

I could handle it in chunks as a way to keep it more fresh, but this, is just super boreome. I don’t understand how it’s fun to anyone frankly.

I mean, how many people are going to complete a layer of TC more than once?

depends what torments you have. if you have ticking damage + maw seekers you’ll be dead within a minute

I think this is a point that many people seem to be missing.

They made two forms of Torghast - a regular and a challenge form. The latter is meant to be difficult. Asking for nerfs or changes is a bit like asking for Mythic+ to be turned into Heroic because it’s difficult to do.

It’s not likely I’ll ever complete it, for the same reason I don’t do high level Mythic+ or raiding, and the same reason I didn’t complete the Mage Tower at the time. I know my limits and beating my head against the failure wall does nothing but give me a headache. I like to see challenge in the game for those who want to pit themselves against it.

I didn’t find it a challenge.

I found it tedious and boring.

My deaths were due to me falling asleep at my keyboard.

Keep everything the same, but add save points.

Even have save points erased once all deaths gone.

It’s the equivalent of fighting trash in a zone for several hours.

It’s really not though? At 18 floors you have ~95 anima powers and just nukin’ things at that point. It’s 100% optional outside of the onetime campaign quest. Outside of that, it is filler content to do at your leisure.

Which people do…all the time. Welcome to World of Warcraft where we kill the same creatures over and over again.

Mage Tower wasn’t required for the main quest line
It was purely aesthetic

Ok, well if you don’t like it, don’t do it.

I find it fun. You progressively get more and more OP until you reach ridiculous levels of OPness.

Not everything needs to be spammable and repeatable.

If there was a world quest, where it took 2-3 hours to fill the bar, I doubt it would be a very popular world quest.

But at least you could stop and come back later!

Not everything needs to be spammable and repeatable.

The game basically revolves around having content that is spammable and repeatable…

People were doing all those BFA dailies. That time adds up…some people literally lived on Mechagon as well.

People do Mythic+ over and over again and it’s the same thing each time.

This is World of Warcraft, we farm the exact same creatures throughout the expansion every. single. time.

Twisting Corridors is 100% filler content outside of the one and done campaign quest.

Honestly, from your post history I’m just going to assume you’re trolling and generally hate everything about the game. It’s optional content and you’re not forced to run it. If you really ran this and completed it, why don’t you post on your main retail character? You’re posting on a classic character so how does the community or Blizzard know that you participated in any of this content?

While yes I agree that checkpoints would be nice, it’s just convenience in the end and you “falling asleep at your keyboard” isn’t going to fix that problem. You obviously find this content to be boring and that’s fine. You’re not forced into the content. Blizzard isn’t going to make it easier for people just to fit your play-style. It wouldn’t be fair to those who put the time and effort.

I find it a bit humerous that your reply, while accurate, is after the person told me how content doesn’t need to be repetable in WoW, and then you list how people do repeatable content in WoW :stuck_out_tongue:

Dailies are quick and done, not 2-3 hours, and you can stop doing them for a bit and return!

People do Mythic+ over and over due to gear, not the content, and as we can see, with the gear carrott gone, people are leaving it and few are doing more than the minimum for the vault.

People kill the same creatures over and over, but it has a little to do with the enjoyment of actually doing it vs. doing it for the reward attached.

But more than anything, all I’m asking is a way to save what you are doing and come back. Have it be like hardcore Diablo.

This isn’t a radical idea for a video game; if anything, it’s an expected feature.

I’m not against Ven’ari selling a ‘checkpoint’ consumable that is usable on the intermission floors.

DuDe, I’m extremely close to just adding you to my personal blacklist. Let’s not even point out the irony of you requesting I post on my main while ur posting on a level 50…

No, The store sucks, shouldn’t be part of the game, and having the mage tower return again for those who missed it isn’t the right approach.

Time sinks aren’t challenges of skill. Gratz on not having a life though.

Cool, we’ve reached a point of agreement then

While I agree that they absolutely should not do this, they have done it so many times with so much content that there’s no reason not to completely expect it to happen.

The majority of WoW players are an entitled older generation who don’t want a challenging video game, but an insect collection where the insects are already pinned and framed. They want to log in, collect their reward for logging in, and then do it again the next day.

Blizzard knows this is their base, and they will continue to give in to their demands in order to milk them for as much as they can.

I’ve not personally gone through this challenge myself, but If I wanted to achieve this goal I would set aside a least a couple of hours to go through it. Saying someone does not have a life to set aside time to go through challenging content is petty at best. Why are you attacking players for taking the time and effort to go through content? The time commitment is part of the challenge. Don’t like it, don’t play it.

I do think they should incentivize it more with adding cosmetics. As is, the rewards for completing TC are lacking. Adding Tier recolors as a drop chance would be neat, similar to what they did with Isle Expeditions.

I think as it stands there are only Mawrat minipets as a drop chance from the bosses?

Would be nice if we could save progress points after 6 levels or halfway. It’s not a problem doing so many floors—but it’s a serious investment. I sit there like “do I really want to do this…or m+, rbg, something more rewarding instead?” And generally, I’ve put twisting corridors to the side for another time.

Extremely True.

When I log in, and consider how I want to spend the new few hours, there’s content I would much rather dedicate that time into. I’m gonna have to be extremely bored and without any rewarding alternatives for me to do TC again.

I’d rather do callings, farm WQs for Anima, PVP for gear, Mythic+ for gear, or even work on an alt.

TC is gonna be dead content for many I think.
