Got on today feeling good and wanted to finish my lfg push to 1800 on my Aff lock.
posted up looking for healer to finish push to 1800 and a 1650 cr Hpal joined and said we can do it. I went for it no voice.
First game we versed Fdk/Disc in sewers (sigh). Game started i set up my port and gate and began dotting em up. Pally ran accross the map and down the other side out of my LoS and had his bubble instantly popped from DK’s cd’s while i tried to reach him and grapple with the Disc.
I typed “pls dont LoS me i can fear him off” Game went on as normal with him up the top but i just couldnt get a kill. was DRing fear on priest and when i tried fearing DK my pally had him LoS’d around boxes and down the bottom area. the DK was just too resilient to my dmg and the priest was uber geared too so my pally eventually went down. I topped dmg in this game by 200k i just dont know why i didnt land a kill maybe using cd’s at wrong time idk…
He left the group after that and whispered “your trash”. I said “i tried to peel for you but you kept LoSing me”, he replies “your trash” and put me on ignore.
ok… try again…
Next game was with an Rdruid with 2.3k exp. We versed Fire/sub.
opener was golden, Druid stunned Mage casting Gpie and i got a fear off on rogue when he opened druid, THEN i landed a double Shadowfury and started poppin off. Rogue cloaked n ran so i kept working on mage (i swear to god Triune ward eats so much dot dmg) Rogue came back, cheaped me and went on druid, we scuffed it again with a coil and fear and dotted em up, rogue sprints off for re-stealth and i cant catch him.
They make another push for a kill i landed ANOTHER double shadowfury and start fearing and the mage ice blocks and rogue runs again for restealth.
Druid is in cat form chasing rogue when he turns around and puts him in kidney, blinds me and mage comes out of block early and combusts and Druids dead. Like all in 2 seconds. I trinketed the blind and went to cast fear but was countered.
I thought we played it pretty well. Rogue/Mage is very resilient to dot dmg and rot in general nowadays but alas, the druid called me trash and said im the worst warlock hes ever played with. I mentioned the 2 x double shadowfurys and peeling for him all game but he put me on ignore.
It has been a bad day so far.
hmm as a new player I didn’t know any body neither a few months back. best way to make good arena player friends is to turn wm on and go outside the stormwind gates where everybody duels.
theres always A LOT of gladiators and rank 1s there dueling and chilling talk to them and befriend them. thats what i did. they’ll play with you and help you get better.
yea it does if you want an easy way out and dont feel like pushing for gear, $40 on two wow tokens can get you boosted to 1800 easily with that 220 gear you can push further by yourself or just buy more wow tokens up to you.
this is also good, if you dont want to lose rating pick one bracket to push and the other one to use lfg quick cap sections
yea if you dont want to drop rating use one bracket to push in my case 2s and use the rest to gear/conquest cap. its really up to you which bracket you prefer.
You have people all over this forum unironically linking their battle.net to try and help you push / climb. Literally offering to play with you and help you out of this. They’ve made threads about it, I’ve also seen them @ you in other posts.
You haven’t replied to a single one of them. You’re not interested in making new friends? Or do do you suspect malintent? What’s the deal?
Of course he can. But if he’s going to sit here complaining about LFG and then “I have nobody to play with.” he should be open to criticism when there’s public knowledge of people offering to play with him and wanting to help him.
Which, I’m not criticizing him. I’m just wondering what’s going on.
this is good advice unless you have a super thick skin for pugging with rando’s that will sometimes spew their frustration all over you
lots of long long time pvp players have very thick skin at this point and approach their grouping in an objective fashion of whether it will achieve their short term gearing goal but will also bail on any group that isn’t working because there really isn’t any downside to finding a new one if your old one has stopped working
