The new raid drops a lot of AZ pieces in the first 4 bosses.
It will not take that long to save for a BiS piece.
Plus I have had only one BiS piece this whole raid tier and I did just fine.
Pretty sure that one slot is not going to make or break your DPS or HPS.
Id say purchase 4 randoms then one BiS.
Its only a matter of time before they fix the system and add three rolling bars that comes up lemons on all three if its the stats that you donât need or want.
The unavoidable gamble, of course, is whether itâs worth saving all that residuum for the one piece youâll be able to afford before then next tier comes out knowing thereâs a nonzero chance the traits will get nerfed out from under you after you buy it. Again.
They might as well add badges back Iâm sick of all this random garbage. Bosses that had random drops were fine. Iâm pretty convinced this is a plan to get people to play more and itâs becoming clearer everytime I do something ingame. Why do I have to save currency to buy a random roll on a piece of gear? Why do I have to save an absurd amount of currency to get exactly what I want? With the old wrath system I could save currency I got from heroics/raids and purchase a tier off BiS and it held me over I downed the bosses and got my drop. The people defending layers of rng Iâll never understand itâs like they are okay with spending 6-12 weeks trying to get 1 piece of gear with the traits needed to be efficient.
If it was wrath the version youâd buy with currency would be 2 slots of 370 and 2-4 slots of 355 gear.
You were never buying the best stuff in Wrath. ICC was 256, 264, 272 for 10, 25/10H, and 25H. You could buy 2 slots of 264 (if you already had those slots youâre SoL) and 2-4 slots of 256 gear. In todayâs game that would be 355, and 370, and never touching a 385. And if the slot you were buying for had crap stats for your spec, again youâre SoL.
Of course in Wrath, you could, you know, actually target the piece in the dungeon instead of having it mysteriously absent from all the loot tables itâs supposed to be in.
Azerite is only present in M0. Itâs not in the M+ chest, and it was retroactively removed from the M+ weekly chest. You canât just run the dungeon until it drops, and all sources of residuum are on a weekly lockout.
It was removed because people cried about it being in the chests. Donât you remember the first few months?
People didnât want it in their chest because it couldnât titanforge, and the breakpoints where not obvious.
Now you get 1 approximately every 3 weeks, with less RNG because you at least pick the slot. Itâs also in addition to your weekly chest since it isnât taking up a gear spot.
If they dropped in mythic+ with no cooldown the new complaint would be about how raiders are âforcedâ to grind mythic+ for 16 hours a day to shard and buy their best gear.
The targeted BiS option is mainly for people running high keys and raiding mythic anyway, which is pretty expected since this is the first time you could buy a targeted highest raid difficulty item with a currency.
Are you deliberately being obtuse?
This is how the vendor has worked since it was implemented. An item of a specific ilvl for a random slot has always been cheaper than an item for a specific slot, and sometimes a specific item is exactly what you need because you only need to fill one or two slots with 415 items instead of running the chance of getting items you donât need because youâve filled that slot already or got better.
Untrue. It had nothing to do with ânot titanforgingâ because Azerite gear never could.
People didnât want the weekly chest to be their ONLY source of it because the M+ chest was a single random piece from literally the entire combined drop table of all ten dungeons and your chance of getting any Azerite at all â much less one with non-garbage traits â was almost nil. You donât get one approximately every three weeks. You get a random one approximately every three weeks, still overwhelmingly likely to be garbage, because apparently being able to target fricking anything is badwrong or something.
Previous badge systems were bad luck protection. They were never the only available way of getting something at all outside of a raid.
They were catchup to raids because there wasnât any good pve gear EXCEPT from raids. Now there is an entire new pathway, that frankly already overshowers gear for the effort required.
back luck protection also never extended to heroic raid (now mythic) quality of gear. It was normal (now heroic) or lower.
Not all classes get particularly good traits from Uldir or Legionnaire. Iâm lucky (or perhaps unlucky) enough that almost all the druid traits are garbage outside of Uldirâs generics, but some classes rely heavily on the ones in dungeon loot tables.
