1725 vs 7150 residuum - more Slot machines

Yea if you do it like this the tier would be over before you manage to use those BIS.

Didn’t EA get in trouble for something like this so they had to tone it down after the backlash? Granted theres was for real money but at this point, same diff.

If they dont do exactly this, devs would be in trouble for their low MAU for the tier.

Well, for EA you were putting real world currency into it. WoW’s system uses an ingame currency that cannot be obtained with real money. You actually have to work for Residuum.

It’s a gamble, but it’s not the same kinda deal that would get Blizzard in trouble.

Yet.

Eh, no Itll take about 6 weeks to get a bis piece if you work hard. Doesn’t sound too bad to me

First boss drops the absolute best trait combo in the game for marksman hunter. Fun times.

I’ll tell you what others always tell me. Play more of the game if you want better loot. Mythic+ is just one source.

Not sure where you learned math but 385 is still higher than 370 and gives more Residuum. The equivalent raid level isn’t relevant to my statement.

Why did you quote him if you weren’t going to address what he said at all?

Why did he reply to me
It is bad luck protection because the game is more than Mystic+ dungeons. That is a small portion of the game. He might have a point if Mythic+ was the sole source of gear in the game.

You claimed the vendor was bad luck protection, but it isn’t. I already explained why earlier.

You just quoted him so you could dodge his question.

Except it is relevant. Everything else is increasing by 30 ilvl’s, but emissary/WQ only increases by 15. So it’s essentially lowered by 15 ilvl.

This isn’t bad luck protection.

Bad luck protection was using JP/Valor Points/Conquest Points to buy pants that weren’t BiS to hold you over until raid either drops it and/or your DKP/loot council determined it was your turn.

This is a band-aid to a broken system that was pure rng where the odds were 1:entire_dungeon_loot_table_once_per_week.

There really is no parity.

This system is only marginally better than the non-sense we had to start.

Easy solution. Buy the cheaper one that’s random. Take the L on a trait if it’s not a great one and you’ll do .3% less dps. Oh man.

It’s a great deal for a mythic raider, who is guaranteed that they can buy exactly what they need. That’s because they system was designed to funnel the best gear to you, less to those who are not mythic raiders, and nothing to those at the bottom end who have also lost the vendor value of the gear they used to count on.

Ahh. There it is. The truth

You left out how we now have mythic+ and rated pvp giving out gear of equal strength to the hardest raid difficulty while valor gear got you a few off items of not even heroic quality.

marginally huh

  • no wasted m+ cache on azerite gear so more other gear
  • you can still target a specific slot which is much better than old system
  • you can save up for specific bis az pieces if you already have pretty good ones that can hold you over

This is better than badges, you could never get BIS pieces from badges

I’m a heroic raider. I get AOTC and that’s my prog. If I stick to M+ and other content, I can get mythic raid BiS pieces without ever stepping foot into mythic.

Funneling will make the top end get their BiS faster, sure. The rest of us have something to actually complete on our character, that we can eventually buy.

this was necessary to ensure all raiders sharded as much loot as possible instead of sharing it with their guild mates who might need it

Dude, this is the opposite of RNG! I mean they are giving you exactly what you want and you don’t see it.

I wish every slot had this system, not just azerite. Like I’d have a weapon if this were the case, I’ve DE’d like 50 items for slots I already had, yet still don’t have a weapon.
