The forums have been way too toxic about what ratings are considered good or not on here.
Let me break it down for you as someone who actually plays the game
1200-1500 ok you kinda suck
1600-1700 where most people actually play all season!
1800-1950 insanely good players or hunters that worked hard without resorting to cheating
2100+ people that RMT for a boost
these forums are all just a bunch of people that pay to have their 2400s and look down on us real players that actually earn ratings.
Newsflash 80% of people that q arena all season end up around 1700

Whatever makes them more comfortable when the average rating since they implemented solo modes is like 2500
Simply not true 2500+ is a result of the wow token boosting loop . Are you just a bodyguard for the boosting sites? Do they give you 50% off?

What do you consider honorable, because I think the only card swiping most of us are doing is that monthly sub.
Playing at least 1600 rounds of shuffle a season and regularly asking what avg mmr is ggs

I’m sitting around 1600 right now, but was 1850 something on my hunter last season.
I think people care way too much about ratings, but I can tell you flatly that the fox is a legitimately good player that earns their rating. Notice not even the goblin shaman has much to say to them? Good indicator.

I got 1950 day 2 which was like 95th percentile so I’m actually ultra glad material, I just choose not to push. See, you can spin any narrative you like with the right data. Maybe we just play for fun and forget about the ratings.

Without trolling, why does everyone say 2500 is average or 2300 is low etc when the top of the entire ladder in a given spec is like…2500 is r1?
I dont get it.
Im only at 2k mmr destro right now and nearly every lobby has half the team on glad mounts. There is a definite difference from 1600 to 2k. Idk why everybody (meaning the multi gladiator r1 crowd here) acts like they are the norm.

It sounds corny but thats the actual correct answer. If pushing for rating makes you feel good then great, go for it man, but if you’re grinding out rating in order to gain some kind of extrinsic value then you’ll never be happy. There will always be someone who will try to invalidate what you do and say “yea you actually suck because:” that game mode doesn’t count, you play an OP class, you were carried, etc, etc, etc.
It’s a game thats meant to be fun and you’re paying for it. Do whatever you want that makes you happy.
But you’re over 2100 xp, so did you RMT? 
The VAST MAJORITY of people who play the game are very casual and either don’t engage with pvp enough to get good at it or stop when they get an 1800 elite set.
The “above average” and similar complaints are all from a single poster who missed gladiator like 5 years ago and CRASHED OUT and continues to attempt to discredit kennie over a half-decade-old rent-free occupation in his head.
Also, when modes like BGB are so inflated that some people literally get 4000 cr, 2400 is pretty “average” if you play enough games!

There should be only one person that anyone should compete with and that is themselves. Who cares what average is if you’re trying to be the best version of yourself?

tbh I reconsider even paying my sub every month, imagine actually paying to play and then paying to not play

Eh, glad mounts don’t really matter as much. Most of the time, people riding around on them are on alts and are not, let’s say, glad material on that class. Love riding my blue dragon from time to time it’s cool
