Good time for miners to make some extra money selling null stones.

See. Bigger picture :joy:

I know I sold the ones I got today instead of turning them in.

I’m sorry, but this is such a dumb take that I almost don’t feel like replying. Your entire assumption is wrong. You will not make back that 15k gold, even if you consider the entire expansion. And that’s because the correct way to look at it is if a single knowledge point will get you a return of 7.5k gold at some point. And the answer is no, it won’t.

At this point that’s most likely 1 skill point for a specific ore. Do you really think, even if you mined a million ores, that this 1 point will get you a return of 7.5k gold? Because I don’t even have to do the math to know that this will never happen.

then you have no idea what each point does . especially for gathering professions which make their money in the first six months of the expansion . for instance 10 points into plethora and then 45 points into bismuth gets you full null stones from bismuth not damaged ones -each drop equals 5 of your previous drops , plus they drop far more often meaning you make far more money . to go with fact is another fact - the price of null stones has already halved from the second week of the expansion - it will now flutuate for thext few months before bottoming out at I am guessing at around half of what it is now

from there you pile your next 140 into plethora and the other two ores and you will have so many null stones you wont know what to do with them . every point delayed is money you are not making because it is that final point in all the ores that opens this door for you.

Againg for emphasis on how important building up talent points as quick as you can for gathering - one hour of gathering in week one and two made me 40 to 50 k on the AH with mostly R1 herbs and ore - I went on holidays for 2 weeks and so far since I have been back 1 hour gets me around 18k - I am well behind in my talent points and I also made teh mistake of going for mining while mounted instead of putting teh 60 points into bismuth and plethora

Crafting professions are insane. I need like 8,000,000 multicraft to get anything out of alchemy. which means i need the best tools and accessories, which are FOUR HUNDRED AA…

The patron orders usually also don’t provide expensive mats like Null Stone or Null Lotus.

Usually it is better to create the 3 work orders with an alt to create some cheap crap, which you can disenchant or sell to an NPC afterwards.

Mine all week , it’s a weekly you’ll make plenty of the stuff u get.

Yeah, I saw that and was like nahhhh…I only do mining and skinning so I don’t neeeeed to complete that one.

What I WILL do however is go out on a mining farm for a bit today, just in case that price stays up.

that sounds about right. Totally agree.

Yea, pass.

Am i really only getting 2 knowledge points a week for blacksmithing when getting those world treasures and the sniffling?

Id love to do the npc work orders too but they want me to use all my mats. Thats thousands of loss in gold, and it doesn’t even go to a player.

So… Mine it??

Even better, if you have two or more characters: send YOURSELF the order from another character. I’ve been doing this since DF.

15k is cheap.

Sounds about standard for this xpac.

Blacksmithing patron orders say hi

I am just passing it this week , 12 k gold is sounds way more lucrative than measly 2 points

I hear mining is a good way to make some gold this xpac.

is 15k a lot ?

I got 10 null stones in like 2 hours of farming while queuing BG Blitz now I didn’t bother handing in the quest I’d rather have the gold over 3 extra points.
