ya but the game was not 90% veterans back then , it was premades with many newer players, premades in 2020 are nothing like premades in 2005, imo once you hit a certain level you should go do rated.
Except not all premades are rated type of premades.

no easy answer, rated bgs needs to be more lucrative for the elite to play there, but not by a huge gear advantage, because once they get the gear they will leave rated and reek havoc in the regular bgs, needs to be by gold, achievements, mounts and nice looking cosmetic gear, rewards you open after time spent in rated.

WoD had conquest gear you could buy with gold for wargames and the Coliseum. All they had to do was allow it for regular bgs and bam gear would have never been an issue in pvp again.

rbgs are awful if you pug because the raid lead will just sit in lfg at 9/10 waiting for the perfect person to come along for 30 mins

this is true but neither are new players. people who started in legion/bfa have hit gladiator. there are far more resources available for improving at pvp. i expect people in my random bg to at least somewhat know whatâs going on, and if they donât, be receptive to instructions. itâs not 2010 anymore, tunnel vision on a healer isnât how you win the game if the other team is competent. the average player should step their game up and stop going monkey mode. itâs not hard to think about what has to be done to win

Those were spicy times. I miss it in ways. The fights were always difficult and very satisfying.
