The amount people defending activision doing this is disgusting. It’s why they keep adding new stuff to the store monthly.
Soon it will look like the store on a free to play mmo but with a subscription and expansion purchase. What would stop them from adding lootboxes next if so many blizz shills defend the store’s expansion?
Taking away “quality”? Really? They’re mounts. They’re not really that impressive unless you’re 13.
I think people are making way too much of this. Either pay your sub for 6 months if you want to play that long or don’t , get whatever mount they are offering at the time. Or simply not care. If thats the worst thing you have to worry about you must have a pretty comfy life. I have almost 300 mounts now that i don’t use. It honestly does not seem to matter anymore what Blizzard does or does not do the negative audience here lambasts them over it. Pretty sad really.

“So many people have told me”, “you could make the argument”, “I heard people saying” are all phrases a long the same lines that attempt to insulate from criticism, as though “I’m not actually saying it, I’ve just heard it, or you could say this so not my fault if you don’t agree”. I don’t actually see a problem with the cash shop, mostly because I don’t deal in slippery slopes. If they put too much in it, or go by way of f2p games and start putting actual game mechanic increases in, then I’ll have a problem with it. And then I’ll do what you should do when you have a problem with a video game decision: quit playing it. It’s what I did with destiny 2 when it replaced destiny, anthem when it was anthem, and so forth.
So i guess that makes square enix greedy too right. Since they require 15 dollars a month to play final fantasy 14. Have a cash shop. Have a app that cost 5 dollars to use.
I guess that also makes zenimax greedy aswell because without eso plus 15 dollars a month you will have no room in your bags do the craft bag… And dont even get started on their loot crate store…
You people complain about blizzard giving you a free month for subbing for 6 months. Then go play a different game. Find out how greedy they are.

Giving examples of other companies being greedy to try and say that blizzard isn’t being greedy isn’t a good idea. Just because someone else is making worse decisions doesn’t mean you’re making the right ones.

No one is impressed at people playing video games in the first place. However, there are some people that would back in the day get impressed at the hard to get mounts. Not today though, where you can just buy shiny things instantly.
The guy just pointed out three games that pretty much do the same thing. And if you think those are bad look at what goes on over on SWARTOR they are probably worse then any of MMOS out there. And again the in game store sells nothing but COSMETICS! There is no advantage to buying things their stop acting like it’s the worse thing in the world.
