Let me start by saying, I hate classic, and I am so happy TBC is literally right around the corner.
That said, I was hoping for more than 14 days to level a Draenei Shaman. I’m one of the lucky ones who gets to work from home, but even then pushing to 60 before TBC releases is going to be a stretch. Not to mention not enough time to get out of work.
Proposal: Give us at least 1 more week of pre-patch. The way pre-patch was communicated made it sound like we would get a decent chunk of time to level into TBC release. 14 days is not a decent chunk of time.
Just a FYI leveling from 1-60 in TBC takes 20% less exp than in classic. So you are already leveling them 20%+ faster and some elite quests were nerfed to be easier.
So its not going to be as straining as classic leveling.
Also if you don’t hit 58+ in time chances are Hellfire will be crashing and having alot of lag so you can just level your new character in the mean time.
Yea this definitely true. Even with massive amounts of layering, there are only so many connections the servers can handle at any given time. People will either be lagged out in hellfire or spamming dungeons and causing those to crash. Leveling to 60 might just be the most stable environment during TBCC launch unfortunately.
On top less exp you also get a mount at 30. Another to keep in mind is in actual BC you didn’t get to level the new races. You had to wait for the dark portal to open, so 2 weeks is way better than no weeks js. Prepatches aren’t meant to give people time to level, they’re meant to test out new systems, and give players some cool events.
They literally said they want players to have time to level new races in time for TBC.
Yes, I know how fast it takes to level in TBC, I played it a lot, and i’ve always been an altoholic. I doubt i’ll hit 60 in that 2 week frame. No time for people to get out of work, no time for people to figure things out with kids, no time to re-arrange schedules.
Yeah you have 2 weeks of time. They technically didn’t lie, you just don’t like the answer. Do you have a link or quote where they said “we’re gunna make it long enough so everyone can hit 60 before the dark portal opens”?
Did you watch blizzcon at all when the developers said they wanted the pre-patch to be longer that it was back when TBC originally released? Original pre-patch was 42 days. Last time I checked, 14 days is not greater than 42.
Yes as always blizzard screwed the community. They don’t care about us except the money. Pushing xpac looks better to investors than 1 month of allowing players to level to 60.
All the changes and everything added could be seen from a mile away.
You can be upset about it or learn to deal with it.
Yep I’m upset about it, don’t get me wrong. I wanted time to gear up my shaman in HIGH warlord gear. While also level my belf rogue. I’m also upset about the pvp changes. Problem is this is the new blizzard it’s been like this for years.
Yea it’s not fun
I think I’m just use to getting screwed by blizzard. I’m a shaman and a casual pvper. So yea welcome to the last 15 years of this game for me XD
Shaman was my main from Lich King and on, I feel ya there. (I miss WoD multistrike earth spears)
I was hoping it would be different this time around. Blizzard had the opportunity to take what was good, and make it amazing. All i’m seeing is retail infesting TBC little by little.
No, classic has no class balance, and relies on glitches, exploits, and buff stacking. Shut up and get out of here, you offer nothing to this conversation. Classic is crap, 100%.
Classic has rpg class balance. Which means classes have strengths and weaknesses. They have niches. Some classes excel in some areas and other classes excel in other areas. Classes rely on each other.
It’s just that players have forgotten what an rpg is because WoW has long since ceased being one.
