I see we only have an option for a max of 6 months game time allowed to be purchased.
Any idea when the 12 month game time option may be back?

I’m pretty sure that there hasn’t been a 1-year sub ever. There was once an agreement to sub for a whole year, but you could do that monthly, 60days, 90 days…etc.

There has never been a 12 month game time option to purchase. The only 12 month game time block that is available are special game time cards/codes, typically from Blizzard Employees who give them to friends and family.

Thought there was a year sub thing where you also got the boat flying mount thing.
Oh well. Guess I was wrong. Will just have to buy 2 6month subs haha.

There was one time: back in 2011, they did a promotion where if you bought 1 year worth of game time you would get Diablo 3 and an in-game mount for free.

No, it wasn’t to buy a 12-month block of game time, it was to agree to be subscribed for 12 consecutive months at a time. I did that promotion. All I had to do was agree to stay subbed for a full year.
You can pay for the WoW Annual Pass on a monthly basis at $14.99 per month or according to the billing plan of your choice. To participate, you must be 18 or older, have a valid credit card, and have registered a full version of World of Warcraft on or before October 18, 2011.

Your misunderstanding here, even after all this time, caused all sorts of issues with that promotion, which is why I think they never did it again.
When people signed up, they thought they were purchasing that 1 year, and did not understand that it was just a commitment to keep your game time active for a year, as Kyzera pointed out. Many eventually lost their benefits for the Annual Pass as they let their subs lapse before the year commitment was up.
Game time purchases have always been 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months and never any different.

I remember that. There were a lot of people posting here angry that their “1 year sub” lapsed early, failing them out of the promotion.
