117 AVs in 2 weeks

Just one question…

Were you crying out about the horde suffering the same upon the first few months?

We were getting stomped every game in 6 minutes by premades… AND we did not get instant queues like yourselves. Making rep farming equally impossible. So please… Tell me exactly how infuriated you were when the shoe was on the other foot.

Just tried AV again to possible get my city reps up with hand ins, Im exaulted and have my goal rank and its just miserable in there. I feel sorry for anyone still going through this for ranks or rep.

gotta reroll horde if u want to do that quest sorry

Sorry, the 5 of us getting slaughtered by your full 40 man raid group couldn’t muster much sympathy, poor put upon Horde.

So, about 1 out of 5 games you were getting stomped and then you were winning all the rest vs the pugs?

I’ll take that trade over essentially losing every game.

“Why do premades beat non premades”

Except it was basically every game. The Pug on pug games we won were rare, because every 6 minutes a new AV opened up with another premade. Meaning if a 30 minute pug v pug happened, 1 alliance premade ran 5 games. And only 40 out of 240 of us would have a fair fight.

You got it all backwards.

That map gives Horde at least 14 advantages. Blizzard KNOWS that. If Blizzard wanted to help Alliance they would have changed THAT.

for everyone saying its for mages, yes, i am a 60 mage and i am now at 128 losses.

Classic, just like Vanilla, is an inherently broken game. It isn’t an “everyone should have an eve playing field” type of game.

This is why people liked it. This is also why people hated it. There are plenty of reasons to be frustrated in a game with only one viable tank spec and many relatively “useless” specs. It is also more RPG than modern WoW.

People like to take lopsided power and flex it. It’s not fun if you’re the one getting flexed on, though. The pvp system itself was more of a time investment than ranking of skill.

I know because I was there. Back then you could rank up fairly consistently playing solo amongst pugs. The world was different then. The internet was different.

People asked and begged for these ancient systems to be exhumed from their crypts and this is what the digital necromancy has wrought.

The only way for this to be “fixed” is for Blizzard to buck off the “no changes” crowd and do whatever must be done to bring Classic up to 2020 standards.

After that they need to pursue all private server communities without mercy. Put their lawyers out on a field day and bury this toxic mess.

Meh, i’ve been less than impressed by horde pvp skills. All things being equal it should be a 50/50 win rate. I wonder why it isnt…

This is why Alliance premades need to come back. Solves the win ratio for alliance and shortens horde que time.

How do you know win rates for anyone? Are they posted somewhere? I’d be interested in seeing these stats.

the alliance suck at pvp… “because the alliance pvp”. it’s a self fulfilling prophecy, people decided that the alli racials were inferior, so most of the better pvpers went horde. now you have the horde gloating over a situation they helped create and continue to perpetuate. to combat the disparity in skill levels, the alliance players used their one and only advantage, instant queues made grouping easy. the alliance winning against the “clearly superior” horde wasn’t a thing horde players could stomach, and so here we are. what’s the solution here? “get gud” doesn’t work when the numbers are this imbalanced. the only solution in an unwinnable game is to not play, who is that good for? not horde, not alliance and certainly not for the long term health of the game. but maybe that’s exactly what blizzard wants. /tinfoilhat.

Shorter queue times with a bunch more losses for us. Why would that be better? If you’re going to say “well you guys turtled and it worked” I find that interesting and pretty inaccurate. We had to claw for our wins and you guys don’t seem to be doing the same.

yes, you should lose sometimes. if one side is always winning, something is clearly wrong.

Well you did turtle. You can do 7 minute rushes but don’t choose to. This is about helping the win rate be about 50/50.

Nope. Queue dropping was a symptom.
The fix put a band-aid on a symptom.

The organized pugs, that included queue dropping, were an attempt to get away from the real problem - afkers, leeches and bots.
Blizz hasn’t begun to deal with that problem.

Now that Blizz removed the player’s solution to the real problem, you get to see the real problem in full force.

Kind of like when you suppress the symptoms of a disease, without curing it.
The disease spreads and runs rampant.

Premades were going to happen, /afkers or not.

It was the most efficient way for Alliance to get honor, that was reason enough for Alliance to form premades.

So we’re better at pvp.

It’s the only explanation at this point.
