11/22 Update: Blizzard Staff are Relentless

had the same stance. Then I recalled what her job was.

she to fix things probably got that higher level peoplesoft (or whatever hr stuff they use) access. she saw everything…

and saw the pays for everyone and wth is this crap.

Basically actiblizz messed up. they low balled the new executive who’d ahve access to see jsut how bad she was screwed over.

You do this to the new dev fresh out of college. them you lowball like its cool. they don’t have higher level peoplesoft access. You don’t do this to a person who sees all data in their assigned duty of getting things more equal. them you bite the bullet and pay the same.

And you REALLY REALLY do not do that to a woman you’re trying to use to calm things down over pay disparities among other things

No commute should be a net raise for many I hope. But I highly doubt kotick will fix anything. A full purge will be needed of almost every aspect.

Yep.

I’d wager internally there was a witchhunt in IT/HRO to see who gave her access she was not really wanted to have. People forwarded that mail saying you did probably happened.

side note of if some wonder why that evil IT troll never does anything without a ticket or e-mail…this this is why. I called IT, they can fix it in 5 seconds over the phone. But they won’t 'grrrr! Why???

More than once I have gotten asked who gave the access. More than once I have given the ticket number or e-mail saying they did lol. Why damn near everything I do has a paper trail of sorts these days. Call me…I will say ticket or e-mail.

Verbals on the phone…can be forgotten by the requestor you see. its not like I randomly pick 1 out of 2000 people and change access permissions on whims. but no “paper”…no proof.

Eh, from the bits I’ve seen, I kinda get the impression it might have just been open talking between the two co-leads as he was also pushing to have them get equal compensation.

That means nothing. All three companies need to have the balls to say we’re aren’t selling your stuff till you step down.

That’s not (currently) happening… its pointless virtue signaling. Business equivalent of thoughts and prayers.

Wow, Nintendo so on the ball, this article was posted tomorrow!

Call me evil but I think all of this stuff is probably blown out of proportion and nowhere near as bad as they make it out to be. Maybe there are a few bad cookies out of thousands tops.

None of their efforts mean anything at all unless ActiBlizz TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE IN THE MATTER OF THE HARRASSMENT AND DISCRIMINATION AND ADEQUATELY COMPENSATES THE VICTIMS OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE!

Adequate compensation to the tune of a quarter of their profits last year would be a good place to start.

lol, you don’t pay out hundreds of millions of dollars just because a few neckbeards are handsy.

When the results of the harassment drives one young woman to suicide, it will never be enough. And a quarter of ActiBlizz’s profits last year is about 2 BILLION dollars. It still isn’t enough, but it’s a good place to start.
