1.12 AV is a huge, huge mistake

Weird… i guess the people in all the games I’ve been in didn’t get the memo.

More like Monkey Christ.

Blizzard dun f-ed up and ruined pvp by giving this trash

Completely imbalanced the Battleground so everyone is doing AV and no one is doing WSG, everyone now has their epics from reputation…

Worst decision of all time… whoever thought this was a good idea needs find work somewhere else

Sounds like classic didn’t meet your expectations. Maybe a trip back to current WoW is just what the doctor ordered.

See you there!

you’re a f-ing troll

in original vanilla players could not spam AV to get top honor

Back in OG vanilla you had to contact the top guy on the other side and get an AV going.

if you think this is the original classic experience you are f-ing dead wrong and if you like spamming AV and not interacting with anyone you’re a dead beat moron and you need to get a job

– and you’re playing a game you obviously hate. Seems like maybe one of us doesn’t belong here.

no i loved playing WSG

I loved playing original vanilla WSG

The original WSG was worth the time and was the only way to get rank 14

This is not what happened in original vanilla

Spamming AV in original vanilla was not the way to get top rank

THIS IS NOT IT

You want Blizzard to change the players then? – or what about it specifically is different?

you didn’t have cross realm so you had to go and set up with another high ranking player to get an AV going

it was easier to get a WSG up because it was too hard to get enough players to start up an AV and people wanted to keep farming so they would stay in the barrens and q rather than Q up for a 2-3 hour AV

AV was hard to traverse due to all the elites so it was not worth the honor farm as it took too long

the changes they implemented are not the original vanilla and not the original AV and have unintentionally started a domino effect and has completely changed the meta that i was in the early 2000s

Yes you did. Battlegroups were created prior to BC prepatch.

Perhaps you missed the video of the 3.5 min AV win someone posted here in the forums filmed in actual classic.

Again, what , specifically? What stopped people from zerging all the way to the end? Elites? You could ignore them, right? Eventually their tether just brings them back.

Is it a bad video? It is dated 2006.

“It’s contradicting me and it’s undeniably accurate, so it’s definitely garbage.”

It doesn’t matter what version of AV we have. Some people will try to rush the boss because they simply hate being in AV. I say get rid of ALL REWARDS for doing AV so that the only people queueing are the ones who WANT TO PLAY IT.

dude i was in highschool in the 2004-2007 i was in the original beta. I know exactly my experience I don’t need to watch some short video clip of some people cheesing for you to prove to me that this is was what it was. get lost.

… proof that the video is fake, you’re saying?

You know what else is different? People hang out in SW instead of IF like the good old days. I’m guessing you think Blizzard has to fix that too.

They were right that they could bring back classic, but they could not bring back the classic experience.

Back then, I remember it was common to find someone who had no grasp of the tank/3dps/healer structure for groups. It was all new. It’s not new now and we have learned from current WoW that battlegrounds are just a means to an end. Can’t fix that and they shouldn’t.

If you want to artificially extend AV, back-cap graveyard flags and kill enemy players early. The more successful you are in that, the more you 1) create a turtle for the enemy and 2) decrease the enemy’s capacity to defeat their boss.

If you want war, make war. Don’t blindly follow the leader.

Korrak was removed from AV in early 2006. Along with many other changes that were made in the year between 1.05 and 1.12 that significantly changed how AV was played and won. A video from 2006 doesn’t necessarily reflect the AV many of us long to play again. The AV in classic today tends more towards the retail version. There’s a reason I don’t play retail and I’ll thank Blizzard to please give us a much earlier version of AV than they have.

  1. So play a different BG.

The great thing about Classic is that the game didn’t play itself. Unfortunately, that means you have to put some effort to get what you want.

Also, you can’t convince Blizzard that more people want what you want when all you’re doing is switching alts.

this AV version is a faceroll.

6 min matches . I tried to capture a mine and as I was clicking flag the game ended .

Forget farming mobs for materials to hand in

You’re funny and are obviously unable to distinguish literary styles between two different people. This is the character I’ve posted on since I started to play the game. The only change has been her race a few times. I don’t feel the need to hide behind alts, but it seems you do. So, if it makes you feel better, I play classic on a 55 priest named Cálamity and a 23 rogue named raivyne, both from Earthfury. The bulk of my created characters sit unguilded on Mal’Ganis since I stopped playing retail after less than a month of legion. I do have a few characters on Thunderhorn where I played for a time with my sister.
