1.12 AV is a huge, huge mistake

1.12 is closer to the retail version than 1.5-1.7

Exactly right. People like to talk about reinforcements, but when 99% of AVs end without reinforcements running out, they’re meaningless. 1.12 is a zerg just like Current WoW’s AV.

You seem to not remember that when reinforcements first came the majority of AV’s ended with reinforcements running out and horde winning.

The zerg we have now is because of that given that the map vastly favors horde with reinforcements.
