Nah his sham died because Maldiva let his pet walk in and die to hard casted fireballs and the rogue ran behind the pillar because my warlock was targeting him BUT LITTLE DID THEY KNOW IT WAS A FOCUS CHAOS BOLT ON METAPHORZ HUEHUehuehue

I was watching Venruki play 3’s and he got deleted in like 10 secs into a match by a fire game and destro lock. They both had him focus and use focus cast macros to deceive who they were targeting. It was brilliant and hilarious cuz the rogue they were targeting use cloak to prevent the damage. LOL

100% could have lived that if he had not stood there and let us spend 11 shards worth of casts prior to that chaos bolt (and also used skyfury, on use, and dark soul).
And locks are quite awful actually, it’s just qing in to players like that make it seem real strong!

Yes please nerf it. Then buff baseline chaos bolt damage. This spec is incredibly frustrating to play.
But real talk at 2700cr I feel like you had the coming as a mage. You clearly didn’t dispel havoc, you sat out there in line during it and let him shard gen, he was clearly never CC’d, and he had massive haste procs.
You don’t hit those numbers in normal conditions. Did Maldiva just drop like two hand of guldan’s for Cataclysm? You have to RoF at least four times beforehand to get this high of a bolt, in which case lining the last few seconds of Infernal shouldn’t be all that difficult.

Bro, who’s team do you think I was on? That lock is my friend and he’s on my team, I literally explained exactly how he hit that hard. Dispelling havoc (even if I was on the receiving team) wouldn’t do anything there? He got cap stunned?

Chaos bolt shouldn’t do more than 40k on a PvP training dummy. Looks like we need some big tuning here.

Dispelling havoc stops shard gen from hitting two targets meaning he wouldn’t be in a position to get off 4 rain of fires. It’s huge for building shards to spend.
