110k chaos bolt, NERF DESTRO

You said he got 11 shards worth which would be 3 ROF and one bolt but you can see that he bolted only twice so unless your description of how he got there and didn’t include the first 106k bolt in your calculations. With that being said, 3 RoFs likely won’t net you a bolt this high.strong text

I casted two chaos bolts that game, 3 rain of fires. First chaos bolt on my screen was 105k with 9 stacks, dark soul, on use, crit proc from an azerite piece, full stacked mastery weapon enchant and skyfury.

The second bolt I casted was on the rogue after the shaman died for 108k on my screen.

So, yes, 3 rains did net a bolt that high, with all the other things I mentioned.

Warlocks and demon hunters both are satanic classes and should not exist! Remove now!

Destro locks getting 3 RoFs should be a huge prenomition of what’s to come
If you don’t want to Los and play defensive during infernal then that’d be your mistake.

Just stating the obvious why is Chaos bolt hitting for more than 40k? Sounds crazy. 100k would be broken. Just like 100k ToD was broken before the nerfs. It isn’t healthy for the game.

Shenanigans up their sleeves… lel.

You can see a warlock setup happening from 10 miles away. Play better D

However, I do agree. Nerf chaos bolt damage through infernal and buff baseline damage… SOLVED.

it’s mastery stacking.

Exactly they are always up to something dirty. Think they should get nerfed.

I’d say something mean but last time you reported me and got me banned for 3 days.

So I’ll just say this. Prot was overly viable in arena in Legion and you still didn’t play it. The spec was OP and you could climb the bracket being a mongoloid.

You are the biggest hypocrite in the world. You said that BFA was going to be the return to PVP, and PVP participation has increased. PVP templates were removed, that was your big thing ya know? You said balance didn’t matter.

NOW THE ONLY THINGS YOU EVER COMPLAIN ABOUT ARE BALANCE ISSUES!

Your complaints are also rooted in things that have obvious counterplay. You can easily counter aff lock by sitting on your storm bolt till he casts drain life. There is literally nothing he can do about it unless he is playing with a paladin and gets a BOP, in which case they’re using a bop offensively and you literally just need to pop a defensive because affliction cannot kill you outside of drain life. That magical counterplay that you say doesn’t exist does, you’re just not at a level of skill to know how to do it. As for destro counterplay, all you have to do is run away from infernal or CC the warlock during it and they are useless till the next time infernal comes up. Your class, and spec, along with almost every other class in this game, has enough pressure to pull CDs during that down time and work towards a win.

This is literally a L2P issue. Counterplay exists, just not for you.

It’s also pretty obvious you have no idea how to achieve a 100k chaos bolt. It requires about 20 seconds of setup time to do so and 9/10 times will require you to use your 3 minute wall to get it off. The enemy can literally just run away and LOS to stop this from happening. If you get baited into this you deserve to die. It’s like during a fire alarm instead of exiting the building you decided to run towards the smoke doused in gasoline.

I’d rather die than let something so asinine go unchecked.

Legion wasn’t a playable PvP expansion because of templates. So like most people we were all busy playing other MMORPGs where gear and customization of gear matters.

If you can’t say something nice then why bother. Everyone should report things that don’t contribute to a discussion. Lets make these forums great. If you got Banned you did it to yourself.

Yes the return of gear mattering means the return of PvP. However a lot of damage was done in Legion and unfortunately while this expansion has a lot of potential there aren’t enough resources dedicated to it right now. Need more Devs.

You take me out of context. I said balance doesn’t matter if the game is great like Wotlk or Diablo 2 etc etc… We don’t have a great game and it’s obvious we are very far from that. What we have is some uintended broken specs because of the lack of Devs working on class design. So this is a glarring issue that needs to be fixed. If we had better class development which means classes had depth and counter play and the game was great than no balance wouldn’t be that important.

It obvious that it shouldn’t be achievable. Period! It just shouldn’t happen. It doesn’t matter if it takes 10 minutes to set up. It should be achievable. How hard is that to understand.

I don’t think I should be able to be locked out of being able to cast a chaos bolt for 30 seconds in a 2v2 because you can line me, or interrupt me, or psuedo interrupt me, but it happens pretty frequently and there isn’t anything I can do about it.

A 100k chaos bolt only occurs because the enemy team literally does NOTHING to prevent it. I agree, you shouldn’t be able to do a 100k chaos bolt, and I also think that chaos bolt baseline damage needs to be doubled.

Should never happen under any circumstance. Honestly nothing should be hitting for over 60k Period.

Finished the sentence for you happy Tuesday

Well historically for the past few expansions the warlock class has been plagued by gimmicks.

Abomb I usually wanna sideways dragon kick you in the spleen but you’re right man. I can’t stand that the only thing keeping warlocks viable are a broken 3x azerite trait for affliction and wacky stupid chaos bolt scaling tied to a 3 min cool down for destruction.

It’s bad for the game, we should have a tool kit with consistent damage that actually works, not gimmicks.
