All I ask Blizzard is to make it so that upon entering the battleground, all party members who are the opposite faction race change to a race that matches the faction they’re fighting for on the map. That way we can still maintain what little faction identity is left in the game.
You guys simply fail to see where the solo player is coming from. “Just join a premade community” why, so we can make other players feel the same way we do by getting stomped by coordinated groups? Nah I’m not that kinda guy. My favorite is when you guys Que snipe and drop Que leaving one side severely outnumbered in the beginning usually resulting in a loss. Epics are a horrible place for solo players. The only reason to join an epic bg is for honor. Thankfully we can just trade honor between our warband. Good luck and have fun beating undergeared uncoordinated groups.
most of us have played solo when we aren’t grouping up. the point of saying “join a community” is because i know that if you get into a good group you like you will enjoy playing with people more than playing solo. communities have that old school wow feeling where you have a reputation and everyone sort of knows each other. playing the game is good, but playing the game in a flow state in sync with others is better.
premade vs premade games are some of the most intense content in wow, they are however not that common, most of the time its a split vs a split. this results in a sort of gambling effect where people are basically signing up and hitting queue in order to get that 1 amazing game knowing they will have low odds of getting it. that said if every game was premade vs premade, they would burn themselves out and quit. the diversity of difficulty is what makes playing both addictive and tolerable. yes this means you will stomp some pugs and hurt their feelings from time to time, but that is the nature of pvp. there is nothing wrong with this either, humans are emotional and are gonna feel bad when their own goals are not met, which generally happens when losing. if its not wrong to feel bad for losing and someone has to lose, then you shouldn’t feel guilty for making someone else feel bad in pvp by beating them at the game.
queue sniping and dropping is basically the result of too much drama and trash talk, it causes communities to start to really gang up. lets say community A gets split and a 5 pop gets beat by a 20 man sync from community B, realistically this isn’t a genuine win as you don’t really have a main group vs a main group, but that won’t stop community B from running to the forums/social media to tell the world they defeated A. so now A is stuck in the situation where either they put up with this or they retaliate. and while retaliation is perfectly fine as its all part of pvp community drama, the inability to force your team into the same game by queueing as a raid means that if A wants to go back out and crush B, they need to drop split pops and try to queue into B as a team, otherwise they might end up in the same 5v20 situation again. then once one community starts dropping to ensure a full roster, everyone has to do it to keep up.
on the other hand, i can see why people are very much turned off, the level of drama in epic communities can reach insane levels, we’re talking sniping, doxxing, hacking, swatting, character assassination, gangstalking/cyberbullying, report abuse, and addon abuse. the fire can be a bit hot to stand in sometimes.
if you ever wonder why all the communities seem to be rather paranoid about vetting new members its because many of them spy on each other, sending in people to be nice and friendly yet sow chaos and throw matches. its absolutely not uncommon to find out the sweet old lady in disc being nice to everyone was actually a spy the whole time talking massive behind everyone’s back to their actual community.
so i fully understand why people don’t want to go near epics. but at the same time, some of the best moments in all of pvp can be found in that random 1 in a 500 epic that is so good you remember it for years.
I agree with most of what you said, and I wrote a post that screeched and pointed a finger back at your side and I deleted it. I tire of the back and forth. It’s time to be the better person and move on and evolve. As a leader and as a collective community. I’m not turning a blind eye to anything, but being angry takes too much energy.
If we can do objectives without talking crap in raid, I am fine with that. We haven’t been leaving if it’s been noticed. I am tired of the disruptions to our play time. There are still those who will not share space with yall, I still support them and their refusal to engage. I think we as leaders of our communities need to forge a path forward knowing cross faction grouping is on the horizon. Reputations do matter.
It would be nice to cross faction Q with guild mates at the least.
People that play the game legit don’t want to join your exploiting. They want it fixed so bottom feeders like yourself go elsewhere so the game can get better.
It doesn’t have anything to do with winning and losing. Some of my most memorable bgs have been losses. The real issue is someone wasting their time and knowing there is no reason to feed the ball of premade coming at them. It’s not fun for anyone but those of you doing it. 5 people are friends….a premade is not. As clearly stated it’s a community with a goal of winning. Mostly it’s people taking the path of least resistance. Anyhow I see epics as what they are a meme bracket for the masses to abuse others.
It’s already mostly happened.
Based on?
No, it would kill the small EBG community premades. A bracket that is already suffering partly because of premades. You have no evidence it would kill anything.
Don’t engage.
For you.
So this is about control.
No it’s not haha.
Intent is good, but it falls short imo.
Factions is a pretty outdated system from a gameplay point of view.
Cross faction made rated better. More options, more players to access etc. Stop.
Things change. This isn’t 2004 anymore. The story is even moving away from Horde vs Alliance.
What is lots though? If people loved it so much why are they continuing to break down that barrier? Factions are a literal barrier in PvP right now.
You are literally telling others what they won’t doesn’t matter because you want horde vs alliance…
So instead of being forced on to faction just to play a race you want too, you want to force people off the races they chose?
Cool do it will 5 people then.

THANK YOU!
This is so true. It’s not about winning – and lopsided wins aren’t gratifying. With some exception, I’ll bet premade groups facing a disorganized one would be willing to send over players to even things up, just for the fun of the game. Because when we get split up into different matches, we face it, too. (Although one losing team I was on organized an impromptu beach party at a fishing hole in Wintergrasp. It was hilarious and fun, and some of the other side joined in.) But some groups won’t play the objectives as a way of prolonging the game because they want just camp graveyards and individual players. They need to participate in abuse for entertainment. That has a diagnosis and probably an Onlyfans page.
Man, I remember doing that back in the day. Everybody would be whipping out their favourite toys and dancing.
Is it really? Why have there been so many times in the history of the game that Horde and Alliance have worked together?
They’ve worked together every time a chad villain showed up cause both sides were just to weak to handle him by themselves.
Until they slowly killed off every war like character in the franchise
varian gone garrosh gone arthas gone tirion gone illidan gone.
Basically any character with a semblance of T in their bloodstream is dead now sparing maybe malfurion and genn maybe if he’s even still around and the only thing left is i mean que “boys who cry” band from spongebob anduin thrall and baine.
Yuppers! They took the war out of World of Warcraft. Now we’re all supposed to hold hands and sing Kumbaya.
I mean i can kind of understand why they are writing a big battle with the void that everyone needs to be united for.
But the whole game has kind of taken a dramatic turn from the kind of story they used to have back in warcraft 3 or wrath it was a metal game and really meant it when it said 18+.
You really were worried about the characters cause the game showed it was not the typical the main hero’s always prevail dynamic that was partly why got was so good to is cause it actually made you worry that some of your characters could actually die there was actual suspense there. Instead of knowing that no matter what happens the main hero’s will always be fine and win in the end.
A good story has both it has the nice heart tugging moments and it also has the dark sinister moments any story that only has one is not really good.
No, because they wouldn’t be forced. They can choose the party leader, the party they join, etc. It’s a fair and reasonable compromise for people who want faction conflict fantasy immersion in an RPG and people who want to que randoms with their friends on the opposite faction.
