11.0.7 Cross-faction groups can now queue for unrated PvP

Yeah - I would have preferred cross faction (solo), myself - but we have bigger issues right now, especially in Epics… the intense delay/freezing during main team fights. It’s the worst it’s ever been.

nobody is boosting or trading wins in epics which is where the majority of sync premades operate.

the overwhelming amount of syncing is casual pvp communities trying to get everyone into the same game so they can all play and have fun together. this is basically pvper’s version of raiding and the compositions can be everything from high end arena players to retired people in their 60s and 70s just socializing with everyone in disc. that mix of people socializing in an MMO is magic and if they killed syncing it would kill casual pvp overnight entirely.

yeah depending on hos this works…

this could either be really good or really bad

imagine if its based on party leaders faction?

these premade communities will just make all their party leads the same faction, problem solved. and now they can pull more players from horde into their premades

this would be so insanely bad for the health of epic bgs lmfao

its gonna be a literal 40premade vs 40pugs

premades have always been able to do that, syncing is generally what keeps most communities from getting a solid 40 every time.

I would think the Epic Premades are the GOLDFarmers domain, those Blood gems farmed in mass with honor, that could be a money maker…

Rated pvp, they farm the players for their rating, that rating goes to the customer they are boosting, so in a sense rating = cash…

Maybe its advanced soo much that Blizzard cant stop them? Soo rampant it feels like sanctioned cheating, like they allow it.

Yeah.

The issue is we allow queue abusers to remove any type of excitement we have for updates that are actually good updates. IF these abusers didn’t exist - this is a step in the right direction.

You will be able to queue with friends/family no matter the faction.

Unfortunately, we have communities that will abuse it… so, we see it as bad.

It’s a good feature - and might lead to more cross faction play.

epic pvpers end up spending their honor on consumables to use in epics. we do make some gold, but its nothing like actual gold farmers, its basically enough to pay the bills on repairs, flasks, and enchants every season.

you also have to remember that when blood gems are most valuable is when everyone is gearing, so epic pvpers want them at the same time everyone else does, most of the ones i bought went/going to myself/alts. by the time you are geared and ready to just AH them the value is mostly gone until next season.

epics are basically all drama and reputation based, people sorta know the hierarchy and who is good, keeping it in a perpetual quasi undetermined/unranked state keeps people playing, but there is nothing to sell here that another team won’t just offer for free to spite the sellers.

It would kill casual pvp for you perhaps.

Ignorant to say it would kill it for everyone though.

Half of our players have Alliance toons who play too. People go where they have the most fun and fits their schedule best.

matches of all solos can be chaotic and unfun. especially if you know how the map should be played to get to a win condition and people are just refusing because they are all chasing personal glory.

and personal glory is often what solos are chasing and why they complain about premades. if you are the best person on a team, you can chase personal glory and deliver a win by having the most killing blows against the correct targets. but if they are teaming up against you, you can’t do that because no matter how good you are, the game is balanced enough that you can be defeated if outnumbered, and this means you can’t get personal glory.

of course the natural reaction is to ask your teammates to help you and usually you will not get the response you wanted, meaning you will not be able to take on those players ganging up on you. this is where people split into two camps: one cap seeks to control their own roster, the other camp seeks to prevent the other team from controlling theirs. the first solution will lead you to premades and syncing and down the rabbit hole that is pvp communities where you will make friends and meet legends, the other will lead you to the forums to QQ.

In case you have not noticed… the world is all about personal glory nowadays not about community and “ganging up” you just need to get with the times. Although i can understand why you’re not if you have “people who are 60-70” in there.

Thats the problem… you should accept that you have no control and should have no control over your “roster”

This is what so many dont understand they believe they should have the power but thats just not how it works. Just look at the dating pool most people are just doing pump n dumps. If you don’t look like Escanor then its a pump n dump scenario nobody is out here caring about community or personality.

Most people in the gym are actually laying hands on people for getting in the way of their videos despite joeyswol’s attempts. It’s all about personal glory inemia and running over anybody getting in the way. and its not changing anytime soon as much as some of you may try to use this game as a shelter.

Nobody can turn this place from everyone pursueing themselves and their desires now its to late.

Some people got enraged at that “garbage” comment but it was true at least when comparing them to himself.

This. Blizz’s intent is good and makes sense.

I was thinking it’d have more impact on regular BGs allowing friends to easily queue together whatever toons they want.

Epic BG communities are rather heartily pro-their own faction, so I’m not sure how much it’ll impact eBGs, unless: new communities arise that are genuinely cross-faction and start syncing their groups. Honestly I’m very interested to see what will happen. lol

Noticed this part and can assure you some people in premades do this too. lol It’s easier to do with premades for kinda obvious reasons.

Stop. Unrated pvp is one of the few places left where factions are the way they should have been. Of you liked your friends that much you would havr already leveled alts or woukd accept mercenary mode
I dont want my bg full of horde come on blizzard tyou have to be smart about it

Whats so hard to understand losts of people like their faction and care for gameplay purposes. Rated modes are already ruined by crosafaction why does this need to come to unrated? Nit even there I can have my alliance vs horde game?

I shouldn’t be able to play with all my friends because you’re still stuck on humans vs orcs

Silly

You can always go play Warcraft RTS if you wanna cling to outdated story telling

Is not about being stuck its literally the foundatiom of this game.

Go level an alt and play with your friends no one is stopping you. But lots of us consider factions important to pvp as a whole. Again you can already queue rated. Leave unrated alone and go lvl up alts on their faction.

Times change.

I’ve been here since the beginning, I don’t care how it started.

You wanna live in the past that’s what single player games are for, don’t make my game worse because you’ve got ancient ideals.

Its fine you dont care. Some of us care so learn to respect others. Event is up get to leveling rn

i can respect you while still thinking your perspective is dumb.

Change is coming, enjoy your backwards gameplay while you can. Blizzard has been slowly desolving the factions for ages now
