11.0.5 = Unacceptable

What is so buggy and game breaking about this patch? I haven’t had any issues at all sonim genuinely curious.

this is what happens when microsoft decides to buy a giant game studio/publisher and then fire like 30% of the workforce and replace them with atrocious AI

Blizzard “polish” my stony earthen rear

I can’t even make a support ticket without getting a response that reads like chatGPT and completely fails to address the entire point of my ticket

now? bugs everywhere. Bugs with dailiy and weekly quests. Bugs with servers. Bugs with mining, or pvp 1-shots, old expansions (like garrison iron horde invasions still being unsoloable or shadowlands treasures being borked or rares being permanently unkillable), why was firelands randomly buffed to be stronger than BFA and Shadowlands raids? Why are Shadowlands raid loot lower ilvl than firelands now? Half the skyriding mounts don’t even work correctly- the Rocket Shredder 9001 constantly just dead-halts while flying a mere half second after using whirling surge, for example. Or that “treasures around Khaz’Algar” achievement or whatever it was, where every single object doesn’t even grant achi progress…

This stuff should not be making it to live, let alone existing for 2 months onto the .5 patch that follows. Most certainly not when said issues are part of the CURRENT expansion. They should be at the forefrunt of QA and bug fixing to resolve issues as part of the now-present experience that millions of people are paying monthly for.

Every weekly reset I’m not even certain if I’m getting the correct quests. I see people showing video footage of the Titan Disc Fragment quest line, but I haven’t gotten another quest from that B-plot in like 4-5 weeks. Did the game just forget to give me weekly updates to that quest?

It’s honestly embarassing & legitimately unacceptable when we’re paying a subscription ffs. The entire point of the subscription is a guaranteed quality standard that free-to-play offerings can’t guarantee. Why is this game demanding a monthly sub when it is delivering subpar quality-assurance compared to games like FF14 which are 95% free to play and of a higher pedigree??

First time I’ve ever come to the forums to complain about WoW’s bugginess. Do better Microsoft, this is just not acceptable

It’s from the Pinnacle cache. It’s not an actual quest line. Unless you just don’t play the game…

I’ve cleared all weekly tasks available since hitting level cap 6 weeks ago

keep in mind that they layed off almost the qa department, and after all they can test their stuff with their customers, its a win win situation for them, less persons to pay for more profits and people are paying to play the beta test game

what i really don’t like is the absolute lack of communication from the actual developpers about the 11.0.5 patch bugs and what they will do to fix it

The optimization of this entire expansion has sucked so much royal dingleberries that part of me wants to apply for Blizzard’s system engineering with a picture of me duct-tapping my PC together with actual duct tape and saying: “If I can do this, I’m probably better than the people who are in charge of your optimization and I’ll do it for probably 3x less. Anything to get me out of Mom’s basement.”

No, I actually can’t but nice try being snarky.

laptopmag website posted on June 30th that Blizz was adding 100 employee to staff up for DF. Going from roughly 300 to 400 people.

Yahoo finance website posted on September 27th 2024 that Blizzard was losing 100+ staff from 2 different offices. So losing over 200 employee.

Try looking it up, and stop being willfully ignorant.

This is not just Chromie. It also happens on Dungeon Finder queues on certain times. I queued… it gave projected ETA, then few minutes later, it got delayed for few more minutes then to 45 min. When it happens, i know it wont happen just like on Dungeons. I just requeue if i want it badly. I was doing a weekly in TWW while on queue. I did requeue like 2 to 3x. But it did pop out and i was able to complete it. To me, becoz i am used to it. Overall, it’s fine. But i know entitled players want perfection. But this Queue system to me is far better than other MMO becoz on other MMO, there’s not enough players to play with.

I got 600 Honor kills. The Korraks quest flagged as complete at 500 kills. So i left and rewarded accordingly. Regarding completing Korrak for a win, it wont happen. Like in Vanilla, i had AV game that i played from 10pm to 3am. I left and i think that same game was still there when i got in at around 7am. I will never complete the Win in Korraks. It wont happen. Period.

Never experienced this.

I never use keybind. So i dunno.

Slight lag when i first entered Caverns of Time. Bought a Mount. It took a while before i could see the mount in my collection. I even reload interface. But eventually got it. I can understand the lag. Server is processing too many clients even clients from potato rigs. I would say it’s more of pc issues from players. Servers are doing its best to accomodate the load. I cant complain on that.

BRD as not a faceroll is good to me. I prefer this. Maybe a bit overtuned but still i hate facerolls.

That wasn’t the WoW team lol.

Or you can just post it here but you won’t because you know you are wrong lol.

And let’s not forget, in addition to all these bugs and issues and quality concerns since launch and all the patches, the “guild bank great robbery” situation continues to drag on with a thread pinned at the top of General Discussion that has over 3500 posts and growing every day, where people had entire guild banks fully or nearly fully emptied and got little or nothing recovered.

How is that even possible in a modern company with backup systems?

And what happened to the communication on that situation? Absent a single blue post that made it out like it was a minor issue, when in fact most if not all tabs of the guilds affected were completely wiped out? And the line about “incomplete restoration” was very misleading when in fact most people just got a few random and largely worthless items like some cloth or cooking mats as opposed to valuable mats, gear, mounts, pets. etc.?

What is going on with this company?

They can’t get the job done correctly in the first place and then are radio silent and utterly failing to effectively communicate with the players about the problems or sometimes even acknowledge them.

/moo :cow:

best of all: the next 2 expansions are confirmed to be rush ordered! Get ready for more of this folks as blizzard and microsoft up the patch cadence even more with likely even less QA to go along with it

Dude you just don’t want to be wrong.
What is the point of talking to me if you’re just gonna refuse all info.

Grow up.

I’m not wrong though lol. Not only am I not wrong, I’m not the one that made a claim and is scared to post a link to support because they know they are the one that is actually wrong lol.

lol

so basically your answer is: Yeah just accept things and move on otherwise you’re being too “entitled”.

or

never experienced this, therefore it doesn’t happen.

you’re the reason they get away with this bad patch.

Straight from the report:

Video game giant Activision Blizzard will start laying off employees at its Irvine and Santa Monica locations next month as parent company Microsoft Corp. looks to cut costs in its gaming division.

The Santa Monica-based video game maker notified about 400 employees of the layoffs on Sept. 12. By the end of the year, 140 employees will be cut from the Irvine facility and 110 will be laid off from the Santa Monica location, according to a state notification filed by Activision Blizzard.

Which part of those were from the WoW team?

Since your memory seems slightly off:
