I still think we’re getting a subterranean expansion. That streamer Towelie who is chums with Blizzards let out a few too many spoilers on stream and was forced to delete the vods and clips of him talking about it.
Streisand effect. If it wasn’t real, Blizzard wouldn’t care. But they do care and thus they got him to delete it.
That still could be part of it. Since this is just stills and not a full presentation.

This time last expac cycle, we didn’t have a buffet of AI ̶p̶l̶a̶g̶i̶a̶r̶i̶z̶e̶r̶s image generators at our disposal. Whoever created this fake leak probably just fed $10 and “warcraft earthen dwarf, world of warcraft expansion reveal, dwarf, warrior, world of warcraft” into Midjourney, and spent a half hour cutting up GPT outputs.

I gotta say whoever made up the name “avaloren” if it’s fake got straight in the devs heads. That’s a WoW portmanteau if I’ve ever seen one.

It’s just too perfect imo. Everything in the images is stuff the community has been discussing and speculating for weeks now, which is why I think it’s a very elaborate fake. A very good one at that.
That’s why I’m inclined to believe it.
DF also had leaks very close to launch, and folks were equally as dismissive.
Worst that can happen, is that they show me something that’s not as good as these leaks, which I doubt lol.
