The pirate or corsair class has been around for so long in WARcraft that it should be a playable class by now; the pirate or corsair playable class has been around since WARcraft 1 and was also involved in wow for a long time, that’s why I ask blizz to vote to make the class playable pirate or corsair. there are many pirate clans within the wow game, I can name 2 names the famous bloodsail buccaneers there are also the irontide but there are not only those 2 pirate clans, for example in Bfa we went to free port and we saw many pirate clans and not only that we participated in pirate activities or world missions related to piracy activities. but it never took place to have a new playable class like pirates or corsairs. I don’t know if blizz is going to take this idea and see if it can be made playable since in other games like D&D the pirate class is a playable class and has 3 specialties.
outlaw rogue
Yea I’m gonna go with JoJo there and say Outlaw Rogue is the pirate/…outlaw class.
There’s several others that would be much better to add than a pirate. Would be like asking to add a Ninja class.
Thumb down
So Blizzard has consistently given us a new class every 2-3 expansions, yet you want 2 in a row?
Go play all 38 specs and see if you still believe there isn’t enough variety for you.
Also your idea is dumb because you’re describing a rogue. That’s a rogue.
I think the starting zone and questline for a pirate class would be a fun place to explore, but it would be very difficult to create a class that is different from rogue.
Rather have bard.
I can gibs bard… ask how I wooed the guard…
I’d vote for a pirate class in an instant if it meant they’d strip Outlaw of its insipid pirate asthetic.
Why, in WarCraft? I can understand in other fantasy settings, but what would be appealing about Bard in WoW specifically? Especially in a game without the Support role that defines Bards elsewhere?
No.
But instead of a class I think it’s high time they use this concept instead: A new spec that all classes can use.
Now we can implement buff/debuff specs without everyone crying “Blizzard said we could bring the player not the class”
Then we can bring more of our low skill friends with us.
Thanks.
Bards could be healers with a dps spec as well. Maybe they play lofi hip hop beats to chill to when healing but the dps spec pulls out a tuba and starts shooting sound notes at people.
If the Bard tier armor looks like a marching band outfit, I’m in.
With enough imagination, Warriors could be healers, too. Priests could be melee DPS. Mages could tank. But that’s not really what people expect from those classes.
Blizzard gutted the Support role from the game early on, when they designed away from the offensive Shaman and defensive Paladin Support roles. They overtly say that they don’t want to explore that route more fully, dispersing Support abilities amongst a variety of classes instead of confining them to a singular role.
Bard would be starting in a place where they could never realize their defining role from the outset. I don’t see the value in that.
Yes, but consider rushing down a hill at the enemy team as a fat Kul’tiran blasting on a tuba; besequined band hat blazing in the sun, spit trap frothing from your mighty tuba.
Think of glory on the field of battle!
I think we’re at the point in the game I’d much rather add new specs than classes. We have so many classes already. Adding a spec here or there over time is a much more reasonable lift.
That’s an outlaw rogue. Their artifact weapon in legion was a pair of haunted cutlasses!
And, of course, some bard vs. bard action. (Bugs vs. Opera Singer, if the thumbnail isn’t showing.)
That said, I’m not sold on how a bard class would work in WoW. I’ve played them in pen-and-paper RPGs, and they shine as the party’s “face” in social encounters. Their place in an RP environment is clear. But is there an empty niche in WoW that they can fill? That is less clear.
Tinker or riot.
Gonna be Evoker 2.0. Aka something none of us ask for with restrictions none of us asked for.
