Seperating paragraphs and talking in different tenses for no reason apparently. Yes i exagerrated after i made it clear how strongly i disliked them/how unfair they are.

Sounds good rather not talk to the guy that uses bnet as social media.

now that youve all proven me wrong, can we get back to the topic at hand?

no, i just wanted to understand what your point was, after that you called me an imbecile and deranged for literally quoting you, i still haven’t attacked you after you attacked me when u were completely wrong

I said i ran mine weekly and i hate 10 mans, than commented i refuse to do them, its clear it was a emotional response, atleast i wouldve viewed it that way but hey if it wasnt that clear than i apologize. Tired of threads getting derailed cause someone wants to get tied up in rhetoric.

Perhaps i over reacted from past interactions, sorry @peeporiot

They’re just upset that 25 mans having to have more loot per person reveals how few people actually care about 25 mans for their own sake with the difficulty and hence prestige being the same between 10 and 25 man.

remember u couldnt figure out how to use a scroll wheel on warcraft logs and thought i was playing a character on eu dragon’s call? u have a bit of an agenda to push against me after that embarrassment (talking to ziryus here)

i agree with you that 10 mans are way worse than 25 man, i think either an extra tier piece or a 50% chance to get an extra item is probably what should happen, idk if it will though. Its possible that both would work well (50% to get an extra item on non tier bosses and 1 extra tier item from bosses)

Think you have me confused never affiliated with bene,eu servers

Eh I don’t think it’s people don’t care about 25man, it’s just as someone said earlier people gravitate toward what’s more “efficient”, and doomsay about 10man if it was to get another loot would push the needle in the opposite direction, forcing people to 10m. But as also has been said a million times, all it would do is straighten the curve a little as you’re still at the mercy of rng for specific items to drop, a lot of it will still go to waste. But if the 25man players still “deem” 10man to be superior just give 25man another drop too, they’ll just be raidlogging 1-2 weeks sooner.

I also remember you admitting that the extra loot was a major motivation for why people were running 25 mans.

of course that’s true, people are very very likely to do what’s best for them in terms of loot, that’s why i think they’d run 3x 10 mans instead of 1x 25 if 10 man was actually better

cheers appreciate ya being more mature than most(myself included today) but yea were on the same page here

i think there’s a better solution we can come to than “make 10 man better than 25” but i’m not sure what it is yet, I don’t know if an extra tier piece would actually work long term because you’ll likely max out on tier before the tier ends

Maybe just 1 extra item from the non tier bosses is the answer?

I thought about extra valor but it doesn’t really do anything

give rag omni token, +1 to both 10m and 25m, add “reals” to buy targeted items (may be too much). Problem solved

the extra item per non tier bosses seems ideal, i would think adding an extra tier piece somewhere would help too but maybe im wrong on that cause our raid was flooded with vanq users and we kept getting conq/prot.

I think most people don’t particularly care one way or the other as far as the raid content itself goes, there’s some people with a strong preference for 25 man or 10 man for various reasons which are entirely subjective.

People who have to recruit have a strong preference because there is a legitimate difference there, but most players don’t have to deal with that so given an all else being equal option they’ll pick whichever format they can get.

Blizzard eventually just ended up settling on 20 mans so they didn’t have to hear arguments exactly like this.

well 20 mans was also because it was a nightmare to balance 10m and 25man to be equal in difficulty with the massive amount of bloat classes had, it wasn’t just loot targeted

I’m trying to think of an elegant way that a 10 man raid could refuse an item and somehow trade/roll it for another one

scenario:

you are in a 10 man and you kill atramedes, he drops a leather helm that you can’t use, a way to sacrifice that item for a % of another raid item or something like that, a 200g abyss crystal is what it currently turns into

so say you got 3 items like this in 1 night, the “bad luck protection” = whatever this system is, allows you to get a good item, or a chance at one

For sure and as you’re seeing in this thread difficulty of each size comes up and is tied into it because some fights end up harder on one difficulty or the other an unlike wrath there’s no obvious “easy” size
