10.2.5: Amazing new elf capital

Thanks man. We need those laughs this Christmas. :christmas_tree: :santa:

We played a large role in Siege of Orgrimmar. City guards would still attack me if I tried to go there afterwards.

No evil faction allowed near NE cities please

The horde takes house warming entirely too far.

I hope they remember to leave some “No Smoking” signs!

I mean we don’t want another Teldrassil :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

We all had to put up with furry-bait vulpera defiling the game for 5 years so you can put up with more night elves

The Nightborn wouldn’t exist either if it wasn’t for the Alliance, and that particular Night Elf that saved the entired race by creating the Arcandor.

And yet Alliance are not allowed in Suramar canonwise.

Oh i was just being facetious. Referring to the fact that they are the reason for night elves needing a new home, and killing the people whose souls went into the seed.

This seems more like an outpost. The dock is like 50% of the floorspace.

As a mostly mechanical lifeform of obviously superior Gnomish ancestry, I do not understand the need for so many trees. Other than the fact they help us breathe, which is good.

So I approve of its pragmatic function, but not for aesthetic reasons.

You don’t like the look of trees…?

considering forsaken use the plague specifically because it doesn’t do anything to them, you didn’t even lose a city lmao.

Like that’s the messed up thing, it was another Theramore/Stonard scenario where the horde gets to wipe a city off the map and the Alliance marches to the gates before leaving. Actually strictly speaking that one was worse because the horde bomb canonically kills everyone in Theramore in every timeline simultaneously like I can’t even properly quantify how rare of an alliance W night elves getting a new city is.

Only this writing team would have it to where The Horde, the faction that burned down and slaughtered the last capital of The Night Elves, can walk freely in the new capital of The Night Elves because apparently we’re all “friends” now.

Six years was enough for Night Elves to get over the burning of their families I suppose.

I watched a preview video of the city last night. Apparently the guards are hostile to horde players. So that’s good.

I do not dislike the look of trees. I just don’t prefer them as the dominant environmental feature in civil engineering.

Gnomes are traditionally a subterranean race and trees don’t exactly thrive in low-light ecosystems.

But if such botanical excesses pleases my elvin allies, than I am happy for them.

I’m fine with rabble-rousing upstart horde Leaders. if they know who to direct their animosity at.

Honestly, Garrosh was fine up until Theramore. The idea of taking Kalimdor for the Horde wasn’t unrealistic, and the war campaign up until he went cray cray was believable. Just like I have no issues that the night elves completely obliterated the Shatterspear. It made sense with the current story and wasn’t over the top.

That said, there are so many other enemies besides the alliance that a horde “conqueror” can go up against. Make the Centaur a threat again in Desolace, make the Quillboar a threat again, Gnolls/Dragons/Ogre clans etc.

A warchief is only bad when the war is against the other playable faction. Now that we are allied, there is no reason we can’t have a warchief who commands the Horde’s troops and works alongside the Alliance against common threats.

The difference between factions should be how they go about fighting a third-party enemy — The Pandaren starting zone is the best example of how Horde and Alliance difference should be showcased.

Horde - Bold Action first, deal with consequences afterwards
Alliance - Assess situation before acting, but seen as complacent

It might not affect them but it did kill both Horde and Alliance in the fourth war. And the city is closed off still. And Brill is in ruins. And the old UC instance has had a broken flight master since BFA.

It’s more like a small neutral village than an actual capital… I mean, have you seen Darnassus? That was a capital. The village is nice and all… but not really what I had in mind. Really hoping they will improve it before it goes live.

Ya I agree with you, Darnassus was an amazing looking capital city.

Seems like they need more architecture in that new city.

Where’s Sylvanas when you need her

And yet the Night Elf players will still whine about Blizzard supposedly neglecting them.

The above phrase will be true, no matter when you read it.
