10.2.5: Amazing new elf capital

The content for both factions is save Amirdrassil so it can hatch.

Both factions should be allowed the rewards.

Just like how Horde will have to help Alliance retake Gilneas as patch content — The story is alliance focused enough as it is currently, no need to dismiss the other half of the playerbase further.

The absolute hilarity.

Remember that sound effect Baby Mario Makes in the SNES game Yoshi’s Island?

I personally believe this is correlative to the mindset and mentality of 90% of the player base (excluding yourself, Mumbles, Rita, Emet, and a couple of others.) For those wondering at what that sound is, it goes as follows.

Art imitates life sometimes.

Agreed. I’ve recently learned I could mute people on the forums here and it’s been wonderful.

Daww i think I hurt a night elfs feelings in this thread. Which is weird because blizzard’s story burned your tree wasn’t me.

I think at best for Elune, it was making the best out of a terrible situation.
If they’d survived, I don’t think she’d had been like “Well damn, I gotta wipe half of them out now.” … Anyway the whole plot, story and lore of Shadowlands sucked. BFA’s pre-patch event (Teldrassil burning) was just icing on the cake of the ‘bad’.

Like heck Blizzard lied to the players faces when majority of us rolled our eyes and said “Please don’t vilify the Horde AGAIN and prep the downfall of one of our Warchiefs AGAIN.” – and they were like “What?? Noooo, it’s going to be morally grey!” lol

I think people would have been okay with the Teldrassil thing, if it in fact had been a third party responsible rather than another horde-villain batting.

The constant “Wait and see” and “It’ll surprise you who did it” was a real big slap in the face to Horde players.

Who have just been getting bent over and over for several expansions now

  • no real troll leader, Rokhan got the title via the website before anyone knew in-game, Vol’jin arc left untouched
  • no in-game mention of Gazlowe taking over for Gallywix, Gazlowe not even originally bilgewater when we had characters like Boss Mida instead
  • Baine not fighting back when Tauren were raised, but cowtowing to the alliance over Derek Proudmoore
  • Saurfang dead
  • No actual leader for Forsaken, with the desolate council having an ALLIANCE lore figurehead in Calia
  • The only showcase of the actual Horde council in the Vulpera unlock scenario, with everything else going through Baine, who is basically warchief in everything but name
  • Night Elf city rebuilt but no news about Undercity
  • Gilneas being retaken, but no news about Undercity
  • Dwarves being added into the Horde, who have enough alliance themed races as it is

Would’ve been a lot better if they had the Cataclysm treatment with the Twilight’s Hammer poking each faction or sabotaging a fair war to make the end-result catastrophic.

  • I mean, if they played it out like Horde were meant to TAKE Teldrassil, claiming it as a city & holding the Night-Elven kingdom as a hostage city – Then had some 3rd party faction kill a large portion of Horde to get access to their war machines & burn the tree, then plant the Horde flag down & leave, that would’ve been better received. Heck imagine if as they were leaving an illusion dissipated and they were Nightelves – The druids of the flame.

  • Then later have a separate 3rd party faction sabotage the Alliance invasion of Lordaeron & have them detonate all of the plague against the Horde’s knowledge, slaughtering masses of them as well as the Alliance – but having an insider informant to spread misinformation back to Greymane, telling them the Horde escaped then detonated the city laughing.

Having a war break out after that, would’ve been a lot more ‘Morally Grey’ than what they gave us. There’s so much fan-fic & theories out there that were simply way better for BFA.

… Don’t even get me started on Shadowlands, that expansion was a travesty.

The story of Vol’Jin becoming a loa was so unsatisfactory. Like he pretty much just got a bit of divine juice, then stole the rest of his ‘ascension’ from Rezan. He should’ve been a loa in his own right.

If he ended up reviving Rezan with the spark he was given and it made his own spark shine, becoming the Loa of Rebirth & Revolution — That’d be much more neat.

Yep. We waited & we saw – Blizzard were liars, plain & simple. Horde were just a pinata yet again, merely for their ineptitude of storytelling.

Yeah, many of us can agree that it’s not Night Elves who are the most hated race by Blizzard — but in fact the Tauren :joy:

Heck even in the Emerald Dream majority of it is all shoehorned to Nightelves – Despite all druids being able to connect with the Emerald Dream through, you guessed it: Dreaming

I get that it’s the Night Elves tree & all, so having a majority of them there is relatively understandable however given the extreme lack-of other druid races, or merely just given one or two here & there was kind of insulting.

“For druids, if you’re not a Night elf – You don’t really matter. Nor does your lore. Kthanks.”

Kind of gave me Legion orderhall vibes for the druids lol

Mostly neutral night elf city bodes for future Quel’thalas and Gilneas. What does it bode? It bodes.

Why is it that Garithos is the name drop whenever Alliance humans hate on Horde? Garithos thought of High Elves as subhuman. Daelin would have been the better choice.

The murdered countless Night Elf civilians and burned down the last tree. Horde has no place in any new Night Elf capital.

I’ll only ever want another Rabble-rousing Upstart Horde leader if the first step after their rise to prominence is to immediately let us put a spear through them before they get any campaigns of conquest on the ground.

We’ve been on this ride so many times and Sylvanas deciding to burn the tree was literally because a single night elf gave a decent speech about not breaking.

I don’t even care that we’re barely a presence in the story anymore. I;m just happy things aren’t blowing up with a “Horde Wuz Here Lol” scribbling attached.
