Can confirm. Frost has always been my go to for a reason.
A few that i watch are talking about it.
I understood your point.
I respect and think itās cool that you like this complexity. Here we have an impasse because, for example, I have a friend who plays with several healer characters, except with a shaman, as he finds a class with countless buttons (in the pvp scenario) while there are less demanding healers who can provide almost or even more utility (paladin, for example).
I believe that a middle ground would be the solution but I understand that if Blizz does this, it will displease some and please others. Itās a very difficult thing to resolveā¦
They should make a button bloat megathread and ban anyone creating a new one outright. Its getting boring seeing at least 3 a day mostly from the same new accounts. Do the same for the Pirate thread bot.
What do you mean?
you can just copy your UI profile from an existing character! unless youāre on a brand new server type (like going to PTR from retail) itās quick and easy
if theres to many buttons just play a dh they have like 5
More than frost strike and obliterate
yea i gotta use like 4 buttons plus cooldowns on my dk lol. my mains feral which does use more buttons than most but even than its doesnt feel like alot. shamy are probably the only class in the game with alot of buttons but you lose the class identity without them since there mostly totems
I like demon hunters in a party.
I think most classes are fine on buttons aside from survival hunter and druid, and probably UH DK as well. If you want a class that barely has any buttons, play BM hunter or Frost DK.
Oh sweet summer children. You know nothing of button bloat. Go play Everquest for oh, I dunno, an hour. Then come talk to me about button bloat. WoW will seem like a godsend by comparison.
Is there really button bloat?
Or is this viewpoint just a manifestation of the very modern phenomenon where everyone feels like they have to emulate cutting edge turbonerds?
Because you can play most specs to some degree of competency with fewer abilities than what is required by minmaxing.
Bellular currently influences about 5 threads whenever he makes a new video.
Some specs have too much but some donāt feel like they have enough.
Iād like more utility buttons on Warrior but I feel like Brewmaster is having me invent new keybinds just to keep all the things Iām hitting every 20-40 seconds easily accessible.
If the main rotation (stuff you are hitting at least 1 per minute. Canāt fit on 10 keys itās too much.
When playing your class minute to minute feels like playing piano I think they should start looking for things to change.
Based on what actual core rotations look like in this game and the fact that we repeatedly see threads like this ā like 6. 6 is too many.
Every time I see it I just think back to WoDās prune and how everyone hated it and how everyone praises MoP as the pinnacle of WoW class design mostly because itās the last time we got permanent additions to our specs just for levelingā¦
ā¦ and I wonder if something changed along the way, or if itās just a different group of people leaving the feedback.
okay, so 10.
or is it 6?
No fun allowed!
Too many buttons is one thing, and rotations are anotherā¦but Iād like to see maybe certain combinations of buttons empowering abilities in a multitude of varying ways. Like if I hit rampage 3 times consecutive, my bloodthirst does a bloody cleave, or if i hit bloodthirst, raging blow, rampage, my next onslaught does a leaping charge attack.
Did we need another thread on this?
Well, Iām at 40 keybinds for Mythic Sark as Brewmaster, which I donāt necessarily think is ātoo manyā, but Iād definitely say is the upper limit.
I posted the full list in the other thread. (Did we really need another thread on this?)
I also posted some thoughts there for how Brewmaster could easily be trimmed. (Did we really need another thread on this?)
