um … just fyi for anyone stumbling into this thread now … the speculation at the top of this thread is a little obsolete since we now know an “empowered arcane forge” is part of the secrets event currently running. We’ll probably be constructing it (or at least start to) tomorrow.

Actually it might be for gear but I think the first thing it is intended for is crafting Mimron’s Jump Jets, as the tex for the three parts says to combine them at a empowered arcane forge
There is a new forge in Val right now but its not working…I just went over there with my Jumpjet parts and when I try to use it …it says needs to be empowered.
Yes the empowerment looks to take roughly 24 hours. 6 events with a 4 hour gap between.
It has been some time since BFA, perhaps Blizzard have had ample time and a proper team to diagnose and employ a “borrowed power system” that is much more solid.
Not against a new borrowed power system. If I want something slower and more personal; Classic, TBC, & WotLK are currently available and only a few clicks away (intense excitement for Cata).

In Valdrakken there is an Arcane Forge that needs to be empowered by 150 energy.

If you open your map, you will see Power Sources in Valdrakken that need to be brought back to the Arcane Forge:

Power Sources add 1 energy.

Massive Power Sources add 5 energy.

I came here to ask what this is. It has a big counting bar sitting above it that is up to 92 at the moment. That bar looks really weird and disrupts the fengshui in Valdrakken.
help out to fill it up look for empowering orb stations

At one point running around Val I got this orb on top of my head and my movement slowed. It said to throw the orb but the action button wasn’t doing anything. This must be related.
You have to have someone targeted then hit the button.
