Borrowed power returning? Where after you buy your crafted item you empower it?
Sounds good to me.
More power = easier time soloing the last 2 expacs raids.

If they were going to return to borrowed power it wouldn’t be in a mid-season patch.

Maybe it’s a forge to upgrade the evoker legendary artifact?
Given that it’s a forge and it’s in the middle of the crafting area, I’d venture a guess that it will probably have something to do with crafting.
It’s a Draenei design too so it could instead have something to do with their Man’ari questline coming in the next patch.
Either way, no reason to start panicking about borrowed power yet.

I’m a little behind on the coffee this morning. Why would this imply borrowed power?
Also, we have borrowed power in the form of Tier sets 
Augmentation lizards is all the borrowed power we’re getting this expansion.

I hope you’re right moving forward, but we did already have the ring for borrowed power. I really don’t care to do another ring type grind even if it only takes a couple days. Just make the classes more interesting by doing reworks instead please!

It doesn’t…but that’s the internet for you. The only thing anyone (outside of Blizz) knows is that it appeared on the PTR.

at this point in wows life borrowed power is needed
DF despite being an ok expansion has probably a record low of logins.

Pretty much this. It’s highly unlikely to be a full-scale gear progression system (aka borrowed power). My guess is it’s going to be part of the mid-patch crafted gear where you will use materials gathered from the new empowered zones or some such. Worse case scenario its part of a patch long gear progression system like what the FR and ZC has. Maybe even a catalyst type system.

Seems kinda dramatic for a mid-patch catchup system. I wonder if something from 10.2 snuck its way into PTR accidentally.

a x.7 patch is a bit too small to have big borrowed power system
Maybe it’s a scrapper so you can destroy your crafted items and get your sparks back?

Isn’t there an upgrade thing coming also, maybe this is what it is for.
I doubt we’ll see any ‘‘borrowed power’’ a’la legion, bfa, sl coming this expansion. Just maybe a change in how you upgrade the gear you get and perhaps more profession crafted items.

You’re all correct – not sure what I was thinking. Onyx Annulet went on longer than it should have, then had to be nerfed. Augmentation was introduced in 10.1.5 and proceeded to throw things into disarray that they still haven’t fully addressed and probably won’t.
Why would I think they won’t go and introduce something new mid-season again to throw more of the content into turmoil – these devs don’t know wth they’re doing.
Isn’t there 437 catch up gear coming?
Maybe it’s something for that.
