That sounds amazing actually.
The original Storyteller games were an upheaval of the gaming scene, probably the most influential games of what I call the post-TSR Reformation. For the folks tired of the mechanical war-gaming approach emphasised by D&D family of games (which was natural since the Game was derived directly from minature warfare play), this was their most popular alternative. This was the game for the literature majors who had played with TSR while the engineering types stuck with more mechanically driven games like Hero and GURPS.
History majors were all over the place. They pretty much dominated the Masque of the Red Death scene. and you can tell which of the Living Death modules were authored by them. They would contain pages among pages of historical background that the DM would wind up sharing only a small fraction of with their players.
Drogbar from my recollection were once planned to be precursors to trolls but it changed during development. Now we have Drogbar appearing in the new zone- perhaps they backtracked and will reveal they are in fact primordial trolls.
Overview of the raid bosses, boss lore included.
In terms of 10.1 Models the fact that Sulfur Fire Elementals have Yellow and Green Sulfur Fire Elementals has strong implications concerning the Fel: Itâs only Green due to the Sulfur in it(it smells of Sulfur too according to Lore descriptions).
Yes that means the Orange-Red Fire from Sargerasâs Sword is still Fel as the Questlines themselves state.
Fel is just the Fire created from burning Spirit Energy. The fact that Warp/Disorder is commonly used to burn Spirit Energy within Souls to gain the Fire from it says a lot about the Warp within the Twisting Nether.
Burning Stygia is to Death what Fel is to Life. Both are the result of the Soulâs Spirit being burned for fuel for Fire. Fel usually just has more Sulfur in it making it Greener(showing a distinction between WoWâs Physics and Earthâs Physics which say that Sulfur usually burns Blue not Green).
Crystal Snails. That sounds cool looking.
And since the Nightborn have some French type aspects to them, will they make them into escargot? It would be an amazing looking dish.
âOne of the core concepts of World of Warcraft is this conflict between Alliance and Horde, and thatâs still trueâ Dawson tells PCGamesN.
Well, guess the faction is still on, we will see.
This. Wanna to significantly cut down on toxicity in the player base? Kill factions. Blizzard should be ashamed for enabling it for so long.
Yeah, they are not killing it as I just posted, in fact they still see the conflict as key to WoWâs story.
âYou can go in and battle as Horde team and an Alliance team in Battlegrounds and PvP. However you want to enjoy that conflict; you still can do that. Thatâs something that we donât anticipate changing or removing in any way.
âBut we also know that, as times have changed in the story of World of Warcraft as well as the world itself, itâs nice to be able to enjoy a larger community, play with more people, and take on bigger challenges as a team regardless of what faction you may have chosen,â he continues.
âThe idea here is to give opportunities to people that want that larger community and that want to play with their friends, but in Warsong Gulch youâre going to do Alliance versus Horde. We want to serve both communities that are interested in doing different activities.â
Itâs being cordoned off as a PvP thing like it mostly was in Vanilla and TBC. I highly doubt weâll have an expansion based around a faction war again. Especially considering how poorly BFA was received.
Would you like some Crunchy Snail? Soimeone could set up right next to Stamp at Darkmoon Faire and it could be a new cooking quest.
I could see Curse taking up a job as a street magician in Dalaran only instead of a rabbit coming out of his top hat, it would be a flood of snails.
Considering Fyrakk is being corrupted according to the Models what are the chances that Vyranoth isnât already corrupted herself?
Remember NâZothâs words during the Uuânat Raid: âShe is not the last, but the first. Drown her and you will see.â
Remember NâZothâs words in the Past: âWith many eyes, they will see again. They will drink, and be uplifted.â
Remember how the Titan Keepers purified the Waters of the Halls of Infusion? Guess who is going to be responsible for corrupting the Waters to the Void?
Vyranoth hides her Void Corruption well if she is infact the first of the Primal Incarnates to be Corrupted. To play on the sympathies of Fyrakk by publicly mourning Raszageth whom she probably doesnât care one bit for is the work of a master manipulator working behind the scenes while her brother Iridikron stands center stage as the Voidâs chief agent.
Hopefully Nozdormu figures out that he must not drink the Waters. Of course Alexstrasza might be warned too late to avoid her own Corruption(and if the Infinite Dragonflight has hid the means to regain Aspectral Powers at the moment Nozdormu is supposed to be corrupted then she will become an Aspect again) and need to be put down alongside a couple of Murozonds from various Alternate Timelines.
Imagine 5 Void Aspects(created via the device in Uldaman that the Infinite Dragonflight got lost in Time) to go against the Order Aspects(created via Odyn activating the Mother Oathstone):
For Void: Iridikron Aspect of the Earth, Vyranoth Aspect of Magic & Frost, Alexstrasza Aspect of Life & Decay, Eregos Aspect of Time & Storm and Fyrakk Primal Incarnate of Shadowflame.
For Order: The Aspect of Earth, Kalecgos Aspect of Magic, Ysera Aspect of Death, Nozdormu Aspect of Time and Merithra Aspect of the Dream.
NâZoth truly has must be angry at Azsharaâs treachery if he is backing us despite his inevitable demise at our hands via Re-Origination.
I remember when we were going to get a whole underwater expanded story.
I donât think anyone is paying attention to NâZoth any more.
The vast majority of the toxicity is WITHIN each faction. Itâs inherent to the gamer population itself. You really t think that just eliminating the factions is going to get rid of all of the âYour Momâ speech? or the abuse that female gamers get from guys?
Then why do we have whole threads on this!?!: https://www.wowhead.com/news/new-old-god-whispers-in-nyalotha-nzoths-special-voice-lines-330479
Players are still paying attention to NâZoth(despite your and othersâ personal disappointment in not getting an Underwater Expansion) and his latest Whispers clearly refer to the Waters of the Halls of Infusion.
The only method the Waters would be corrupted would be if the Aspects were tricked into letting a Void-corrupted Entity taint them and the statement of âShe is not the last, but the first. Drown her and you will see.â from the Uuânat Raid is the closest match.
For the same reason people still harp on Nostradamus even though what he was writing was political commentary, not prophecy.
Anâshuul will be interesting to see whatever it is.
The fact it even left that state shows how tone-deaf Blizzard was. Now we have a lot of uncomfortable baggage because they thought they could hide their bias and not push the genocide button for cheap drama.
First chapter of the 10.1 story campaign.
- We enter the Zaralek Caverns with Sabellian and Wrathion
- After defeating Primalists forces, we all knocked out by Fyrakk.
- There are whispers within the caverns effecting Ebyssian, Sabellian, and Wrathion. They refer it to as distraction, so Iâm unsure as to how worried we should be about them.
- Neltharion recognized one of his experiments within Aberrus as his ambitions being far greater than his capacity to control what he had created.
