10.1 Blue Dragonflight Questline in Azure Archives

Truly this is the end of an era…

Senagos is now gone…

Senagos decided the best way to pass on would be to disintegrate himself via the raw Spellfrost Arcane of the Azure Archives rather than deal with the uncertainty of dropping dead of old age.

Furthermore the Sindragosa Living Illusion stated that Azuregos has a girlfriend he seeks to reach by reaching through walls of reality(and that the Shadowlands opening gave him more questions than answers) with Sindragosa suggesting he get the help of friends.

Also Sindragosa’s Living Illusion Spell is currently retiring now that her job is done for now that the Blue Dragonflight is put together, Malygos and Sindragosa’s Essences are put to rest and Kalecgos has come into his own as their leader.

I had fun seeing Kirygosa’s house in the Jade Forest. This adds flavor for Pandaria.

I didn’t expect it and it hit me in the feels, especially after he amused me during the Zeros recruitment aspect of the quest chain.

During the Cataclysm Azuregos had a relationship with the Spirit Healer Anara. Perhaps he was trying to reach her?

That really was nice and so was visiting the different areas of Azeroth as we helped each member of the Blue Dragonflight.

The quest chain is up on wowhead now.

Noooo not Senegos :sob:
Sure, he is the oldest and someone had to die I guess but why must it be the troll visage one?
Very sad. It’s up to you now, Emmigosa!

Azeroth is constantly getting updated throughout the various Expansions yet most Players focus on the new Zones.

In MoP we get to see the Battlefield Barrens alter the Barrens’ appearance, in WoD we see the Blasted Lands get an update, in Legion we visit the old Zones in various Quests involving our Class Halls and our Profession Quests as well as Return to Karazhan, in BfA we get to see the Darkshore and Arathi Highlands Warfronts, more Profession Quests as well as the updates to Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, in Shadowlands we visit Drustvar during the Night Fae Covenant Questline and in Dragonflight we have the Blue Dragon Quests.

And that’s not going into all the Pre-Launch Events.

You know I never pressed the telling Senagos I could save him option and now reading it on WoWhead and learning that he believed his life could have been extended if he wanted to it seems as if him offing himself was to reunite with his Family in the Afterlife…

Shame they forgot Tyrygosa’s existence. Would’ve like to see if her and Jorad Mace ever became an item or what.

This was a really well done quest line. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Shame. He was the only dragon with a troll visage.

Not Senegos! I know he was as old as the hills when we met him in Legion but dang, right in the HEART. I really hope they give us more dragons with Troll visages though!

Sindragosa was one of my favourite dragons, and I’m glad they gave her peace and closure with Malygos because I always found her story so tragic.

Leave it to the damn Dragons to make me sad again! :sob:

During the questline, Kalecogs says that Kirygosa went through “events I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy,” clearly referring to Chromatus’ attempt to r*pe her. This is the first time Chromatus was even hinted at in-game, I think. They didn’t have to go straight to mentioning that.

I was excited to see Stranglethorn as one of the options, then disappointed that Kirygosa wasn’t there, then got happy again when I read the Pandaria one and saw Kiry’s name.

Apparently she’s actually at the Azure Archives after the questline. I have no idea why she wasn’t one of the ones we had to go gather. Would have been cool to catch up with the netherwing with her (though maybe they’re saving netherwing stuff for future black flight stories).

how about we acknowledge that blue dragons policing magic again, just like Malygos.

Everyone should have a mana bomb, this way no one will use it in fear of retaliation.

Also i like how in Theramore there are only Human Mages. It seems like faction war is not fully gone and some still want blood.

I really liked this line of quests, mainly because it sent us to various regions of Azeroth, bringing these places to life and continuing stories from the past, like when we went to Theramore to confront Rhonin’s apprentice.

I didn’t do the quest yet can you explain what happened? Do we travel to the past?

Even in other similar MMO this has been a nitpick point that always made my Eye Twitch with its cosmetic… Only Hero mmo seems to get the capes right!
:dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

It dosen’t need to be identical, but please I NEED THIS FOR MY CASTERS… and don’t stop there! Please give us more Aspect Visage armor look alike! They look sooooooo GOOOD!! I want them for my Transmog crafting for my character PPPPLLEAAASE!!!

This was an excellent questline. The Blueflight looks as though it has been truly restored all the while allowing the player to visit parts of Azeroth that have been mostly forgotten which was a nice touch. It’s nice to see Malygos and Sindragosa get a proper send off.

The same goes for Tarecgosa. To those who haven’t done the Dragonwrath staff questline from Cata, you get additional quests with Kalec afterwards. They give his sister a grave of her own while she gives some final farewells to the player as well. I didn’t think about it, but if you’ve done the questline this technically means the PC shared a soul with a dragon for several expansions.

In the end you are given the “mount” that allows you to turn into the blue dragon form without the need for Dragonwrath.

Wonderful questline. All of the Blue Dragons we gathered are so vibrant and full of personality, and they’ve all been walking such different paths. That way you really get to experience the Blue Dragonflight as a diaspora Flight. I hope they keep that specificity in future narratives

Also, getting updates about some old plotlines and having some book content making it into the game is amazing

I do not feel it is particularly hyperbolic to say that they made more meaningful plot development in this one quest arc than they managed over the whole of Shadowlands combined. I never imagined they would remember the Highborne souls trapped in Shandaral, let alone set them free, for example.

If they keep up with this momentum and storytelling adeptness, Dragonflight will go down as a GOAT expac.

So I can just echo how awesome this questline was - but I’ll add one last bit to it:

You know what didn’t happen that I expected? At least not that I noticed?

Nobody in Theramore jumped at me blaming me for a mana bomb
