10.1 Blue Dragonflight Questline in Azure Archives

Incidentally Shandral is a reminder of the Titan’s decree. Magic is to be regulated not hoarded.

The Blue Dragonflight horded their Magic and withheld knowledge on how to use it properly and each time it caused massive problems.

Xavius condemned Peroth’arn for caring more about power than about precision. The Titans wanted people with the love of precision that Xavius has to inhabit Azeroth. Unfortunately the Blue Dragonflight didn’t pay much attention to their charge due to obsession with having Magical Artifacts for themselves.

Because the Blue Dragonflight didn’t give a helping hand to the Highborne(having their kind even reside in Zin’Azshari to do so) they were driven to delve into the Well of Eternity to reach into other dimensions and thus fell prey to the Burning Legion.

The High Elves at least learned how to fulfill the Titans’ charge to the Blue Dragonflight when helping the Humans establish Dalaran.

Incidentally there have been no Demon Summoning incidents by the Magi themselves(Demons who escaped the War of the Ancients didn’t hesitate to summon more of their kind) until Medivh got possessed by Sargeras who tricked the Magi into assuming that they needed Spells to ward off brute force breaches into Reality in certain locations only for the Spells to turn out to be Portals into the Twisting Nether as shown with https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Archive_of_the_Tirisgarde#Ebonchill,_Greatstaff_of_Alodi.

He tells the Magi of the Council of Tirisfal that a Demon Incursion is about to appear in a certain place and then gives them the Summoning Circle(which he claims is the same as the Wards around Karazhan which pretty much means Karazhan has a large Demon Summoning Circle that requires a specific height in order to breach the binding) in which to contain the Incursion only for the Summoning Circle to cause the Incursion in the first place while the Sargeras-possessed Medivh attacks the Magi from behind.

Considering how the Magi of Azeroth did before Sargeras hijacked their strongest member I would say they fulfilled the Titans’ charge far better then the Blue Dragonflight!

I’m doing the questline slowly as trying to do it with a million players on mounts covering the NPCs isn’t much fun for me, but I do find one thing amusing about finding Kirygosa. She’s quite pleased at owning her own house on Pandaria, while Kalec is a bit flustered about.

This leads me to believe Kalec doesn’t actually have a home. Which instantly led me to remember a DBZA joke of Piccolo living in a wasteland and was happy to just get his own room somewhere, and I couldn’t stop giggling.

Or maybe Kalec was still crashing at Jaina’s even though were still broken up.

No Dragonflight is the worst expansion so far. It has the lowest sales and the least active subs. It ties with Bfa. Blizzard better stops the dragon nonsense and bring back faction stories.

Ohhh
When you do the Booty Bay quests, don’t forget to read Senegos’ diary. He has a special entry for Runas :smiling_face_with_tear:

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best questlines Blizzard has put out. Obviously, I still adore the Veritastrasz and Dragonmaw stories from 10.0, but this is just a different level. Great voice acting, handling of mature themes that’s actually quite good, fun bits of flavor, a very good balance of serious and emotional moments with bouts of light-heartedness and comedy.

The writers on this quest should do more, they’ve clearly got some grade-A writing chops.

Kinda sad the Simulacrum of Sindragosa retired. It feels like losing a true character smh and I would’ve liked her to stick around I think

I give Blizzard writing a lot of flak and rightly so.

But this? This I liked. A lot. Good show, whoever worked on this.

Though maybe next time Kalecgos can ease up on treating the player like his busboy. I might feel a little more like a valued friend and ally of the Blue flight if he wasn’t literally asking me to clean someone’s room and take their trash out.

Emmigosa’s visage was revealed to be a troll.

I’m not crying, you’re crying!

That is awesome and makes me very happy.

I would’ve loved an awkward exchange between her and Kalecgos. Considering they probably haven’t seen each other to have a chat since the Sunwell Trilogy ending. Where they broke off their ‘engagement’. I doubt they had time to have conversation during the whole Hour of Twilight business (aka Dragon Soul raid).

Most likely. Although it still feels like a missed opportunity not to have Anara show up as a cameo at some point during Shadowlands. Give her perspective on their relationship.

I do too but at the same time I feel like it is appropriate for the AI copy to ‘retire’ after her true self finally got peace with herself and Malygos. And with Kalecgos accepting his position as the Aspect of the Blue Dragonflight. Instead of only taking the position to defeat Deathwing.

I know this is late but if it means anything Emmigosa adopted a troll visage in honor of her grandaddy.
