I want a Halo themed tank that doubles as a minihouse for 10k tendies
You’re not supposed to get everything. The obsession with players wanting every item in the game is stupid. It’s also bad for the game
I like these threads. Get abit a fear, paranoia, conspiracy, bs and now, but its always valid, fomo. That ever creeping, never verbally spoken sense of fomo. It was all good ubtil you saw 2 fun mounts on the list. Probably got a 3rd in the hold spot. Then theres the fun summer items. When summers, i wont see them again… They might do something new next summer. Or a color variable.
I wish the monthly rewards were actually decent. 2023 had great monthly rewards on the first and early second semester. Now it’s all just “bleh”.
Welp, we used to get more but people that probably play some version of Classic threw huge baby-fits over some store cosmetics coming with tender.
I thought it was great, get more bang for your buck, but folks like me was overruled.
Man im siting on 14k tendies waiting some good stuff
Right? 11k here waiting for something to buy. I don’t even have anything frozen
On the flip side that’s how we got into this whole microtransaction rabbit hole in the first place, isn’t it?
We kept telling you not to buy the dang horse armor (besides, Oblivion wasn’t anywhere near as good as Morrowind or Skyrim anyway LOL). We told you if you did that was just going to become a trend right?
Now it’s become practically the normative trend to be sold what in some cases feels like half a game and then be expected to buy the rest a la carte later. Almost like all those old toys that my generation had as kids where the commercials made everything seem so radical and then … Oops, half of that was actually “Sold Separately…” Hope they didn’t discontinue it before the next gift season! (Especially if you were a November or December baby so all your toys pretty much came at the same time of the year lol)
No wonder Era and friends are a hit, there’s a lot of obnoxious business practices that aren’t painfully prominent there.
The goal is to add tender to the shop with increasing frequency.
I just buy the mounts and toys, but I feel bad for mog farmers and completionists. The trading post makes it essentially impossible to ever get 100% with the sheer amount of mogs being added.
They could always do what we expected from the start and sell tenders for real money. But people would be mad.
The trading post that came out 6 months ago is how we got the retail store over 15 years ago? Interesting.
What horse armor?
No, Asmon, you didn’t tell me. I have no idea what you’re talking about.
To be fair time = money, the time spent farming that gold will never equal working a decent job
This is true, but I’ve made a lot of gold on fairly mininalistic tasks. Roughly 10 million was just playing a phone game called warlords of draenor garrisons (college student times meant getting a full roster of capped characters was easy).
There are good and quick gold methods every expansion really, in dragonflight I’ve pulled in several million off dracothyst transmutation on my roster of alts and this can be done in about 10 minutes once a week. Not ground breaking by any means, but it’s basically been about a decade and a half since ai actually did anything in wow that resembled farming gold for gold’s sake.
God imagine having to make choices…
I’m a collector. Last month was hard because it had so many cool things I wanted. I think it is freaking bs that we can’t have more. Even after we have gotten our thousand. The rest of the month things pop up saying we completed them for the trading post but we get zero tenders. If we could maybe get 5 or 10 just for doing those little extra I would be happy. Just my opinion.
Blizzard represents an abusive relationship. At the same time you never know if you really need a transmog set, until it’s too late or FOMO’ed.
Mag’har Orc Heritage Weapon = Mage Tower Weapon
Worgen Heritage Weapons = MoP Remix
Blood Elf Kael’thas Shoulders = MoP Remix
The Trading Post has issues with the prices and the lack of actual variety. The best solution would be to offer the whole catalogue any given time. Why do you need to wait a year to get a pink cape, as an example? And there was a price increase and decrease in month-completion rewards.
At one point the community will snap.
Yep, 100%.
It’ll happen sooner rather than later. Probably within 3-5 years, we’ll see them add it and people will be conditioned from bundles and armor sets including it.
I agree. It seems like they are adding more items to the trading post now but with little currency. A lot of people argue that it’s supposed to be scarce so that we have to pick and choose. Duh. But still, they should add more currency.
