100% NOT ok with delay of launch

THIS. People need to understand what purpose a delay serves.

Is the system completely broken and unfixable? If yes, then delay and re-design and build a new system. I.E. - Azerite Traits -> Neck Essences.

Is the system unbalanced but in working order? If yes, then release and hotfix as needed. I.E. - Covenant A/Legendary C are overpowered and performing 28% above Covenant B/ Legendary A. Buff Covenant B to bring both covenants within a few % of each other in a hotfix.

SL is not in need of a delay. It is just in need of balancing and tweaking and that’s perfectly normal for an MMO.

I actually see it the other way. If they launch with a buggy, unfinished product than that would be the true PR nightmare. :upside_down_face:

On or before is not a hard deadline, they could have pushed it back if they felt it needed it.

No, it’s you paying for a release of a game build. The dev decides it hasn’t gone through enough QA, or there are still some bugs, but still releases the build. Note the key word. Release.

By making the game available to market, even if its marketed as Early Release, They are still releasing the game to the public.

It’s not a release build though, it’s not even the whole game. It’s a lot more then “there might be bugs”

There’s only like half the classes, 1 act, multiple missing spells, etc, its a paid beta.

On or before is a pretty hard deadline. Any push beyond that date becomes an instant delay.

Whereas “When it’s ready” cannot ever be complained about.

So, release it flawed because of timetables and deadlines? This is why disasters happen. I wonder what Quality Control is in place before a product launches.

People who are true Blizzard fans know that SOON™ was a way of life for Blizzard. Everything they did was delayed delayed delayed. But you also knew that if anything came out from Blizzard it was the world’s greatest creation in video gaming technology.

I support a pushback of 2-4 months if it is needed. I want Azeroth to be great again, and Blizzard really needs to get backs to its’ roots of quality instead of quantity.

Will some people get mad? Sure – but will it kill Blizzard? No.

Take your time and do it right, please!!

They think it’ll be ready, personally even if it’s buggy, i don’t care, I have enjoyed my time on beta and can’t wait for release.

If it was 3 months out still, sure, but we’re a month out, screwing over peoples vacation time isn’t cool.

Yeah, this is why WoW is on a massive downslump. Because some of you enable these EA style shenanigans from a company that used to be better.

The problems with BfA weren’t bugs, it was systems. Another 6 months weren’t going to fix BfA because the systems themselves were impossible to fix.

I have zero issues with the way beta is now, i rather enjoy 100% of it.

This. I really don’t care anymore if SL will be good or bad i’d rather play a buggy and broken shadowlands than spend 1 more second in BFA

Sorry not sorry – if you plan your vacation around a game… well – that is on you. I want quality over quantity.

Exactly. It’s a live service game, nothing ever works 100% correctly and balance turnings happen all the time.

The current expansion has long since run past it’s life expectancy. Let’s just get on with the next expansion and figure out fixes along the way, like they always have.

2nd row of talent mitigating “bad pieces” on gear, normalized acquisition levels of abilities accross all ilvls (no more I have 4 rows on this normal piece, but only 2 on this Mythic piece), Titan residuum vendor.

No, I’d say the systems ended up working “correctly” (the last remaining issue being every class had only like 2 traits that were worth using out of 10+). So it’s false to say it’s impossible to fix, because all those things were suggested IN BETA.

This is a problem with todays generations… the “I want it now” crowd and the “You can’t do that, I’ll sue” crowd… Game Developers used to be able to delay their games if they realized they wouldn’t meet the deadline, and gamers used to be perfectly understanding of them doing this. In fact, it used to be that gamers prefered a delay over a faulty product… but now “You announced a date, you must stick to it” has become the motto… and yet, if they release something that is faulty and full of bugs the community never lets it go and berrates them about it endlessly, claiming that “they had plenty of time to fix these issues” and “we told you this was a problem, but you did nothing”… well, when the developers feel as if they won’t be able to delay if they need to, then of course they won’t adress issues that crop up immediately unless they are game breaking. Non-essential bug fixes are held off until the end of development, and if they can’t delay launch then a good chunk of them don’t get fixed until later patches.

Note: I don’t personally want a delay… but I’d rather see it delayed than see it released in a broken condition.

You have no say in how other’s use their vacation, kind of rude to look down on someone for that. Launch week is the best week of any expansion and a lot of people like to experience that.

Plus, what the hell else are you going to use your vacation for this year.

Well really though, what else would you use vacation on in 2020 ¯\(ツ)/¯

Azerite still isn’t fixed.

The most powerful things you can get shouldn’t be RNG like that.
