As opposed to launching an incomplete game? Is this the hill you want to die on? I am 100% ok with people like you crying over it. They wonât lose that many people, people like you are a minority that complain about games being pushed back, because you clearly have no idea whatâs going on.
Despite the delay, the systems are bad, and I donât see the game lasting any longer past this or the next expansion, they refuse to listen to player feedback, their arrogance is palatable and it shows with their design decisions.
When you start making a game strictly on what âyouâ find as fun all while completely ignoring your playerbase, your game tanks. This is whats happening, in real time.
According to one of the descriptors on the pre-purchase page, they guaranteed the xpac to come out before December 31st, 2020.
The xpac will come out later in the year.
There has been no âdeception,â video game delays happen all the time, quit whining about it. The forums are absolutely pathetic today.

Which is unfortunate because these systems are bad and will be impossible to balance, they wanted to create a âchoiceâ but there isnât one when ONE covenant substantially outperforms the others based on spec. They actually made the game even more restrictive than it already is. Which is impressive in itself. And a TERRIBLE design decision considering how much people depend on others switching specs. The que for tanks/healers is going to get worse since you canât freely switch specs without completely gimping yourself.
The tank/healer queue has never been gated by people being able to switch, or even the total availability of people who play tank/healer. Itâs gated by people being willing to queue with hyper toxic pugs.
I donât spent a second more in heroics than I absolutely have to as a tank. Just like I will actively avoid low level keys, once I am able to get into 15s. Once I have my 15, Iâm not likely to pug another. Why? Because itâs almost always an awful experience, with DPS (and even healers, though those are almost always âdps healsâ) treating tanks like garbage.

None of that is true because there are some words at the bottom of the agreement you do when preordering that says âDate subject to changeâ. The ONLY way you are entitled to a refund is if the CANCEL the expansion outright.
They released a public trailer with a specific date - it wasnât an internal memo or a Twitter post, it was pre-approved marketing with the Blizzard sticker on it. It is blatant deception and false advertising. Donât be such a bootlicker.
dude, its 2020, this year has been straight up delaying stuff to the nth degree. False advertising is like no man sky. This is an unfortunately but understandable thing.

Blizz over loaded there donkey . Nothing wrong with that . As long as they own up to it . But now they give a prepatch date . How can they do that with out a patch date?

I still canât believe they just got away with some of the bald faced lies they made with that game. That game all on itâs own, convinced me that you can basically make any claims, not matter how verifiably untrue, and as long as itâs âJust a video gameâ, youâll probably get away with it.

Thereâs a global crisis. Companies canât function normally right now. The fact that a delay is shocking anyone is absolutely pathetic. In the preorder agreement there are literally the big words at the bottom saying âSUBJECT TO CHANGE.â
They promised âbefore December 31st 2020.â A fall release is still likely. Get over yourself. Watching the forums have a temper tantrum because their vibeo gaym isnât coming on time is ridiculous.
Delays happen all the time. Would you rather have a rushed unfinished turd or a relatively finished expansion? Take one look on the beta forums and tell me a delay was not warranted if not downright desperately needed.

Delaying it a month or two wont make it perfect. But it will make it a lot better.
People who are mad about this have zero clue just how screwed the end game is right now in beta.

They delayed WC3 Reforged. It wasnât going to help. I suspect they simply donât have the resources or skills necessary to recreate the original server software.
Gonna need a citation on that one chief. They can only suffer a lawsuit of any kind if they donât release Shadowlands within a year of prepurchase release, AND if they refuse to offer refunds within or after that time.
Request a refund then and bugger off!

Exactly! they are mostly thinking of balance which obviously still is not going to happens to their standards anyways.
I am surprised Activision allowed it as well. There must have been a big clash in their board meeting . Man would have enjoyed watching that with popcorn
