I never said I was some magical gate keeper, I offered options, it’s up to them to do it. I mean really, taking their time to complain about something that regardless of their attitude isn’t going to change for them is selfish.
You want to ride alongside them and their ignorance then be my guest. I am not telling them what to do, I am suggesting…if you cannot comprehend that then maybe education is a better use of your downtime in the delay.
I’m glad that those changes are happening very soon, leveling in the old system is absolutely horrendous even with 100% XP buff for the entire year almost, recruit a friend XP bonus, heirloom XP bonus, potion XP bonus, it’s still a slog.
Yeah the change of the tag from “release candidate” to “test” doesn’t mean it will be delayed, people are reading way too much into internal stuff they don’t understand.
In general when working on software development is pretty common to have a multiple release candidate builds, this is not an unusual thing 2-4 are totally normal.
Once all the features and fixes are ready to go and the build looks stable they might decide to label it as release candidate to indicate that it needs to be tested thoroughly. Things are never perfect in software so you’ll be finding some errors, depending on their relevance you might want to pull it back to fix them (this is pretty common for the first few release candidate builds), then you’ll have some more “test” builds while the problem(s) are being solved, once that’s done and the build is stable you can once again label it as release candidate and repeat the process.
If they don’t release it in October then it won’t be until after the holidays. They said last time they didn’t want to put any new content in during the holidays so there’ll be a lot of people asking for refunds.
Be honest. No one is cancelling their order because the game is a few weeks late. It’s all distributed digitally anyway, so who is going to sue? I’d love to be in the courtroom where a salty plaintiff tries to convince a judge to award them a settlement because they had to wait a few extra weeks for new content in a fifteen year old game.
Lets be real here…you aren’t canceling even if you say you are, it would eat you alive to think you can’t be in the game playing, so save yourself sometime if they delay well you got more time to get stuff that’s going way!
They’ve only had 2 years to develop this expansion. Have you seen any other major MMO’s putting quality expansions out at a faster rate? Blizz doesn’t have the resources to put out massive amounts of content in such quick intervals. Do you think they’re miracle workers?
Correct me if I’m wrong… but never in the history of Wow has there ever been a Release date reschedule for an expansion. Why would they start doing that now. They’ll just jerk out whatever is causing the biggest issues and release the rest, or they’ll release and patch patch patch afterwards.
